So grateful to everyone for a wonderful evening last night !

It takes a village to pull off an event like this. Thank to to all of the wonderful staff and volunteers at Adath for your incredible vision, creativity, joy, and dedication putting this all together.

Thank you to Jacob Hoffman, Joe Perullo, and Dani Gershkoff for being incredible musicians and mensches to work and play with.

Thank you to Chris at Christopher Andrew Studios for making it work to video the event to we can share the magic, and to my wonderful friend, neighbor, and photographer Max ( ) for capturing photos of band and audience. I will share the professional stuff when it‘s ready - make sure you‘re on my mailing list if you‘re interested - for now enjoy what‘s posted above credit to my mom!

And thank you to the friends and family, including the wonderful community from Shabbat in the Round at Adath, for coming to enjoy and sing with us. Special thanks to: for the pre-show pep talk reminder that the point is not a technically perfect concert, but to share and channel and create beautiful moments - and for the sweet sign (which our cat especially loves!); Brian Califf for traveling from New Hampshire to be with us (it was super fun to sing the two crowdfunding reward songs he inspired with him in the room!); and to for taking care of everything at home so I could focus on prep and for being a great roadie (Jay, you did a great job as roadie, too!). I‘m super grateful for my wonderful parents and Sullivan family for joining us as well - that‘s them in the last photo ❤️.

Thank you to everyone who made last night such a special and sweet evening. I am grateful for getting to share and sing and be with you!

The books in my business cabinet. Contemplating what they mean for what’s next, who I’ve been, and who I will be.

Many recommended or given by family, friends, and colleagues, some purchased on whims at airport bookstores or (which has some astonishingly good books - found “Hunt, Gather, Parent” there which was today’s Shabbat reading), one spontaneously purchased online (not a typical habit, but I felt a strong attraction to it).

Can you guess which book is which and/or what I’m going to do next?

So grateful for a beautiful welcome / welcome back Open House with on Sunday.

One of the songs we sang was the Birkat Hamazon (Blessing on the Nourishment, aka Grace After Meals) that I channeled (read: wrote) based on text study with my chavruta (learning buddy) at .

As an intro to the song, I often share one of my take aways from that study: that the “blessing after meals” thanks G!d for way more than the food we’ve eaten. We thank G!d for the land, for the guidance given to us, and for providing for us in every season, every hour. When we notice one thing we’re grateful for, I say, it’s easier to notice more and more things we’re grateful for (to quote my sources: this I learned most clearly from a Yes Plus seminar in college).

So, to practice, I’m specifically grateful for: Being under the incredible tree (I’m told it’s one of five like it in the country); being requested to do my original sing-alongs from my Jewish text based album with some additional Jewish songs; the warm welcome from clergy, the Shabbat in the Round team, and members alike; sharing thoughts and songs about change and growth in the spirit of the upcoming reflective and potent High Holyday season; the treat/pleasure/honor of duetting with the incredibly musical Hazzan Art Katlin; expert sound help from Sam, the support of driving and schlepping equipment and enjoying and taking these great photos; and having fun chatting and singing with everyone!

, I’m thrilled and so looking forward to serving as your new Shabbat in the Round leader.

See you Sept 27! (Will post flyer with monthly dates next. Everyone’s welcome!) 🤩

This makes me so happy. As did everyone who came out to to sing and celebrate with Dave ( ) and me.

Thank you, friends. Thank you, Bill and Philly Typewriter. Thank you, friends who are also Patrons who contributed financially and with more moral support than they know. Thank you Hayden, Lucia, Uma, Rose and friends who jumped in to help set up (shout out Uma for videoing!).

Thank you for creating and being community. As Bill so beautifully said, the only way we get through life is together. Thank you for coming together and celebrating, and taking a moment to remember Simone (z”l), who the video is in loving memory of, with me.

Thank you for sharing what the event, music, and especially lyrics meant to you. It means so much to know that these songs are impactful.

Feeling so inspired and grateful for the community gathering around my artistic/creative/spiritual Path.

Welcome new Patrons Tehilla Newman, and Susan Schapiro!!

A HUGE thank you to and Scott Smith for hosting this gloriously good vibes, fabulous acoustics concert. Shout out to Taryn for loaning the luscious plants! Thank you Scott for expert audio recording and for capturing not one but three different streams of excellent footage. And thank you Tehilla + Mark, + Daniel, and for bringing more good vibes, singing along, and spending your Sunday afternoon creating a special kind of magic with us.

Sunday’s concert and you are all inspiring me to lead deeper into my life’s mission of inspiring others to self-actualize on their own Paths.

I’m thrilled to say that the Patreon (and future Patreon concerts!) will be geared in this direction, creating community around walking our creative/spiritual Paths together.

For now, enjoy this: one of my favorite photos ever taken of me singing.

More photos and video of Sunday’s Patreon concert to come soon, including:

- All Patrons (including those who join here on in) will have access to full concert footage, including banter, blunders, stories, and sing alongs.

- Believing Mirror and up tier Patrons will have early access to edited videos of a handful of select individual songs from the concert.

- Then I’ll share the select song videos with all patrons, next my beloved mailing list, and then the world (including you here on IG!)!

Thank you all for making this possible, for inspiring and encouraging me, for your enthusiasm, and for all you are doing to walk one foot in front of another (side steps and backtracking included) on your own Paths.

Join my growing community on Patreon walking our creative/spiritual Paths together!

With love to all,
Rory Michelle

Sneak peak of this Sunday’s intimate Patreon House Concert - and the secret location in West Philly!

The acoustics inside are so awesome in person. I’m excited to play with you right here.

This set will feature the songs I’ve typically played at live music gigs but that aren’t on any albums so are harder to find online.

I will do my best to capture it on video so they can live online - early access will go to Patrons, then next to my email list.

Join either or both at my website (rorymichelle.com) - for those who join my Patreon by the concert, you can be right there in person with me (and please let me know if you want to come to the concert and Patreon is a barrier financially or otherwise).

These songs highlighted here are also special for being Kickstarter reward songs - some of the best I’ve written, inspired by some of my most generous supporters:

“The Beach Song” - for

“Let Time Take Time” - for Brian Califf

“Sunshiny Day” - for Joseph Grollman

Thank you to everyone who has supported me in so many ways, to our secret house concert hosts, and special shout out to all of my amazing Patrons who have helped me launch my long-desired Patreon! Rick Kitei Daniel Verbit Michael Spanier Abby Pariser Julie Meyers

Many of you have asked me: when do you perform? Well, I'm doing a small, intimate house concert in West Philly on Sunday, June 11, 1-4pm for my Patrons who helped launch my new Patreon.

As I'm still iterating, I'm extending the definition of "launch" to include anyone who joins before Friday, June 9 at noon. Join by then for an invite to this sweet concert where I'll share some of my favorite songs I've written that you can't find on any album of mine - plus early access to the concert video (esp. for those who live outside of the Philly area).

And join anytime for access to a growing community of people inspiring each other on their creative/spiritual Path. See you on the other side and at the concert!

PS. I just shared my first behind-the-scenes videos to my Patrons! (Sneak peak link below, you can join with this link as well!)

**Join by Fri, June 9th at noon for concert invite and/or please share with your friends who you think would enjoy the concert and/or being a part of an inspiring community of people walking their creative/spiritual journeys!**
