One of the questions we receive most often is why we don’t have open farm hours for the public.
The answer is simple: the wellbeing of our animals always comes first!
What we have created here is much more than a farm. It is a peaceful, therapeutic environment filled with love, connection, healing, and happy donkeys. Every Brush & Hug session is designed to be a meaningful and personal experience—not only for our guests, but for the donkeys themselves.
Just like people, our donkeys need time to rest, play, socialize, and simply be donkeys. After off site events and guest visits, they enjoy quiet days grazing in the pasture, rolling in the dirt, napping in the sunshine, and spending time with their herd. This downtime is essential to their physical and emotional wellbeing.
By limiting visits to private, scheduled experiences, we can ensure our animals remain healthy, relaxed, and genuinely happy to interact with our guests. It also allows us to provide each visitor with the very best experience—one that is unhurried, personal, and rooted in authentic connection.
We believe that when animals are respected, cared for, and given the freedom to rest, they are able to give so much more in return.
Thank you for understanding and supporting our commitment to putting happy healthy donkeys first! ❤️
