Among the ferns,
Deep down in the holler,
I find a spot in the greening dark,
Where it is quiet,
And the breeze off the creek,
Sings through the hemlock,
Of rain sneaking up the mountain,
And carries with it a scent,
That only those who know the hollers,
Hidden deep and dark,
Can know for what it is:
Paradise.
