The swamp has a new face.

We’re incredibly excited to finally reveal the new Black Swamp Horror & Oddities logo and branding.

From the beginning, we’ve wanted Black Swamp Horror to feel rooted in the place we call home: dark water, tangled woods, lantern light, strange things just beneath the surface, and the stories that have grown out of the Great Black Swamp.

This artwork captures that feeling better than we could have imagined.

A huge thank you to Brian Lowe aka Doodle's Doodles67, created the original artwork for us. Brian took the ideas we’d been kicking around and turned them into something weird, eerie, beautiful, and unmistakably Black Swamp.

You’ll start seeing the new look roll out across our website, social media, merchandise, signage, and everything we’re building toward March.

Welcome to the Black Swamp.

And seriously, give Brian Lowe some love in the comments. 🖤🏮🌿

Today, the Black Swamp dims its lanterns for Sam Neill.

To most people he'll always be Dr. Alan Grant. Horror knew him for something else: an actor who could make skepticism, grief, obsession, and madness all feel human.

In POSSESSION, his Mark doesn't just watch a marriage collapse. He comes apart with it, wounded and desperate, matching the film's fever-pitch intensity scene for scene.

In IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS, he played John Trent, the dry, rational skeptic certain every nightmare had an explanation, right up until reality stopped cooperating. The slide from certainty to cosmic terror never feels like a performance.

In EVENT HORIZON, Dr. William Weir's grief curdles into obsession until he becomes the thing the crew is running from.

In DAYBREAKERS, he brought cold corporate polish to Charles Bromley, the face of a vampire apocalypse run like a business.

Four roles, four kinds of unraveling, and Neill never stood back from any of them. He went in.

Thank you, Sam, for the fear, the madness, and every trip into the places where reality wears thin.

Rest well. The swamp is quieter tonight.

Time for an update on our logo: what you've seen so far got us moving fast while everything else came together, but we always planned on a local artist making the real one.

An expo built around supporting artists should have art made by one. We'll share the new logo as soon as it's ready.

We still have 47 vendor spots open. And we're keeping them that way because we made a call: 10-foot aisles and room to breathe. More rows. Space to move.

You don't sell well when you're packed shoulder-to-shoulder. Neither do your customers. So instead of cramming vendors, we're building something that feels good to walk through.

If you make, sell, or create anything in the horror and oddities space, apply at blackswamphorror.com/apply. Questions? Reach out; we want the process to be smooth.

See you in March.
