Tasha Haight is the owner of Mermaid Tasha LLC, Delmarva's Premier Mermaid Entertainment. She has been performing in various capacities since the age of 4 and has her Masters of Business Administration degree from Loyola University Maryland. In 2017, she joined the Circus Siren Pod, a team of professional mermaids, as "The Marlin Mermaid" - an homage to Ocean City, the White Marlin Capital of the
World. Her first performance tail is now on display for all to see at the Mermaid Museum in Berlin. In 2019 she branched out and created Mermaid Tasha LLC, and today she even has a team of mermaids herself that help with appearances around town in season. When the pandemic hit in 2020, most in person events came to a halt, forcing Tasha to think outside of the box to continue to survive as a professional mermaid. This led to the creation of Mermaid Camps, an intensive where children ages 8-15 learn to be a mermaid themselves - including how to swim safely in a mermaid tail, how to care for the environment, fun facts about local marine life, mermaid crafts, and a mermaid photoshoot! Today, Mermaid Tasha LLC offers a variety of mermaid entertainment options, including private/birthday parties, hotel and community appearances, mermaid lessons, mermaid photoshoots, mermaid camps, public events, library readings, and more! Tasha is also a published author that currently has several books available that focus on conservation through a fun mermaid theme. Tasha is a PADI Mermaid Instructor, Advanced Freediver, and Divemaster. Additionally, Tasha has over a decade of lifeguard experience and is certified in first aid, CPR and AED.
