Mermaid Tasha Delmarva's Premier Mermaid Entertainment company available for bookings year-round in OCMD & beyond

Tasha Haight is the owner of Mermaid Tasha LLC, Delmarva's Premier Mermaid Entertainment. She has been performing in various capacities since the age of 4 and has her Masters of Business Administration degree from Loyola University Maryland. In 2017, she joined the Circus Siren Pod, a team of professional mermaids, as "The Marlin Mermaid" - an homage to Ocean City, the White Marlin Capital of the World. Her first performance tail is now on display for all to see at the Mermaid Museum in Berlin. In 2019 she branched out and created Mermaid Tasha LLC, and today she even has a team of mermaids herself that help with appearances around town in season. When the pandemic hit in 2020, most in person events came to a halt, forcing Tasha to think outside of the box to continue to survive as a professional mermaid. This led to the creation of Mermaid Camps, an intensive where children ages 8-15 learn to be a mermaid themselves - including how to swim safely in a mermaid tail, how to care for the environment, fun facts about local marine life, mermaid crafts, and a mermaid photoshoot! Today, Mermaid Tasha LLC offers a variety of mermaid entertainment options, including private/birthday parties, hotel and community appearances, mermaid lessons, mermaid photoshoots, mermaid camps, public events, library readings, and more! Tasha is also a published author that currently has several books available that focus on conservation through a fun mermaid theme. You can find them at many local bookstores as well as online via lulu.com. Tasha prides herself and her company on being environmentally-focused as well as the safest mermaid option on Delmarva. Tasha is a PADI Mermaid Instructor, Advanced Freediver, and Divemaster. Additionally, Tasha has over a decade of lifeguard experience and is certified in first aid, CPR and AED. Mermaid Tasha has swam all over the world with a wide variety of wildlife and would love to tell you stories of her favorite creatures at your next event! Visit www.mermaidtasha.com or follow on social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) to join in on her next adventure!

Somewhere between the sea and the shore, where ancient trees twist toward the sky and the last light of day turns everything golden, the mermaids gather. 🧜‍♀️🌅

There is something special about finding your people in a world that doesn't always understand your kind of magic. Different tails, different personalities, different stories… but somehow, we all belong to the same little corner of the ocean.

For Halloween, I'm embracing the more mysterious side of mermaid life. Not every creature of the sea is a sweet, sunlit princess. Some are a little wild, a little witchy, and perhaps best admired from a safe distance after sunset. 😉

If you hear singing coming from the shoreline this October, well… I never said you should follow it. 🌊🖤

Bittersweet book news today! Bethany Beach Books has decided they no longer wish to carry Mermaid Tasha Books (if you're in Bethany, you can still grab your favorite books at Bethany Beach Ocean Suites hotel gift shop!) but Maryland Makers has added us to the Holiday Pop Up Shop in Annapolis from November 1-December 30! Stay tuned for two dates where I'll be in store signing books.

What if your child's next favorite story also sneaks in a little STEM education? 🔬📚

That's exactly what makes Ten Little Axolotls such a fun addition to November's Ocean Guardian Book Box.

While children follow ten little axolotls through their freshwater home, they're also introduced to concepts like:

🔢 Counting
💧 Freshwater ecosystems
🦎 Amphibians
🌱 Habitats
🔬 Adaptations
✨ Regeneration

And they're doing it through a rhyming, illustrated story rather than a textbook.

Because learning about science doesn't have to feel like school.

Sometimes it starts with:

"Look at that weird little animal!" 😂🦎

And then suddenly your child wants to know everything about it.

That's the kind of curiosity we're trying to encourage with Ocean Guardian Book Box. 💙

🕯️🌊 The sea is full of secrets… and not all of its creatures want to be found. 🖤🧜‍♀️

As the veil between worlds grows thin and October nights grow darker, a lone light flickers along the shore. Is it a warning to turn back… or an invitation to follow?

They say the ocean calls to everyone, but be careful which voice you follow. Some songs lead you home. Others lead you somewhere you may never return. 🌙✨

Would you follow the light, or would you fear what waits beyond it? 🕯️
