Sedalia Visual Art Association promotes the visual arts in the
Sedalia and surrounding areas through a positive environment
of public art classes, group and individual exhibitions, presentations,
and workshops by local and professional visiting artists and
monthly meetings in the the Heckart Community Center 1800 W 3rd St, Sedalia, MO on the first Tuesday of every month except August at 6:00 pm.

Artists are invited to submit applications for the 2nd Annual Mayfair Arts Festival event – a juried, fine arts festival held in the heart of Downtown Sedalia at the historic landmark Hayden Liberty Center Association of the Arts, 111 West 5th Street, Sedalia, MO 65301.

Event Details: Mayfair is a 1-day, free art festival featuring a juried art fair, Artisanal crafts, live music performances, food vendors, children's activities and more. Artist set up is available on Saturday morning, May 9th. Event times: Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 10 am - 5 pm.

January 15, 2026: Application Opens
February 15, 2026: Early bird submissions are due for priority selection.
March 1, 2026: Notification for early bird submissions. February 15 - April 9, 2026: Submissions will be accepted as space allows.
April 9, 2026: Deadline to submit, portal closes.

April 10th and 11th 2026: Notification

There is no fee to submit your application.

Booth Fee for Communal artists Tent is Free. Exhibitor/Artist is required to set up between 7:00 a.m. & 10:00 a.m. the day of the event and must clean up their booth space between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. Artist will be supplied a 10’x10’ space with one 8- foot table and 2 chairs. Hanging panels are available for first come.

Exhibitor/Artist wishing to bring their own tent and display and not have a booth space under the community tent will be given a $50 stipend. They agree to follow all the same rules as the Exhibitor/Artists under the community tent.

Four Cash Prizes – One each in the following amounts: $500, $300, $200 and $100.

Exhibiting Artist's Lecture: Lindsey Dunnagan
March 2, 2026, at 10 AM

Join us on Monday, March 2, at 10 AM in the Stauffacher Theatre on the SFCC campus for an artist’s lecture by Lindsey Dunnagan.

Lindsey Dunnagan is currently exhibiting artwork in her solo exhibition Temporal Terrain at the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art. This series of watercolor and oil paintings is inspired by her childhood in Anchorage, Alaska.

Lindsey is an Associate Professor of Art and runs the painting department at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. She is a three-time Hunting Art Prize finalist, and has shown nationally in solo and juried exhibitions. Her work was published in the 120 West edition of New American paintings.

This lecture is free and open to the public.
