Tried a different technique with this one and really like how it turned out! This was finished before giving birth as well. This is another one of Sam's. I have 2 more of hers before I've painted all of her pets. 🥰

Annnnd quick side note: We are currently in the newborn trenches... my son was born a week ago. But that doesn't mean I can't still post or paint. 🙈😉

This is the largest painting I've completed to date for someone at 18x24 inches. I also went from never-had-painted-an-elephant to painting seven!

Such a labor of love for my pastor and his wife, I'm so grateful I was given the opportunity to paint this gift. I learned a lot from this painting, which took me anywhere from 80 to 100 hours. Phew! I was seeing elephants in my dreams. 😅🤣

Would I do it again? Absolutely.🐘🐘🐘

This one was a special one for my dear friend, Linh, one of my first friends after moving to the east coast. 💕

I love her shop, Meow Tea (which offers the best boba and dessert drinks. If you haven't tried them, you should!!) because it one of the places that reminded me of the west coast when I was missing it so. And I am so grateful to be able to support her from the food truck at Eats on the Creek to her permanent location on Pamplico Hwy.

I'm just so grateful for the opportunity to do this painting for her. And grateful to God for this gift I can share with others.

Personally, I love doing people portraits even though they are such a challenge and I definitely have much room to improve. This one was completed for Mother's Day for a special mother in law. 💐💕
