Downtime in one place means creativity and productivity elsewhere. Mary Vie has been spending time at Tierra Wools up the road in Chama weaving a beautiful piece or three. Glad to have a creative outlet while ideas are being dreamed up for the theater.

By 2035, the Eyes of Time has shown our world the true nature of our Continuum and how to travel it. But this accomplishment has come at a price: persecution by the powers who prefer our world remains ignorant. These powers force the company underground, but some are left behind. Among them is Simone and her daughter Galast, who learn to survive by stealing from history and stealing its value for sale in the black markets of our apocalyptic future. It isn't long before their victims catch on to this theft, and seek vengeance. Now Simone and Galast must return to our present moment, where they hope to find redemption and avert their fate.

AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer Jared Daniels has done a wonderful job helping the Tierra Amarilla Theater Club operate over his two year term, although his second year the theater was mostly in hibernation mode. We appreciate his work in positioning the theater to be more robust in its operations as New Mexico starts to open up, and wish him good luck as he leaves this position. We hope to see him back this way, either in the audience or on the stage!

Today, we want to shine a spotlight on our member Jared Daniels. Jared is a VISTA at the San Juan Chama Watershed Partnership in New Mexico. His site supervisor shared that, "Jared’s outgoing personality, genuine care for the greater good, and willingness to lend a hand is well recognized in the community." Well done, Jared! Thank you for your hard work and dedication!

For those of you who were around in 2019 to see the Tierra Amarilla Theater Club's presentation of Federico García Lorca's "The Butterfly's Evil Spell", you were able to peer into the secret world of wildlife. While fictional, it did promote an appreciation for our natural surroundings and the beings that inhabit it.

The Theater Club is inviting everyone to check out the San Juan - Chama Watershed Partnership's Rio Chama Congreso, an event that focuses on the ecology and majesty of the nature around us. Organizers of this event have supported the Theater in the Past, and we appreciate the work they do to protect our local natural resources and support the local community.

Happy new year everybody!

I know things have been a bit quiet, but I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that folks involved with the theater club have been helping along with a film project by our friends at www.facebook.com/theeyesoftime over these past few months. We may have some aspiring movie stars in our midsts! Parts of the film were shot right here in the club's Tierra Amarilla theater house! Stay tuned for more details.

Time-traveling adventures throughout Northern New Mexico.

Hidden narratives, exciting puzzles, and real places!

The Eyes of Time invites you past the threshold of fact and fiction, to unravel the history of New Mexico and wade into the far-between.
