🕷️ Sometimes the best creations happen when you’re just playing with an idea…

I started this design as a mock-up for a customer. When I design mockups, I give different vibes and options so my customers can see what direction they’re drawn to — sometimes a small idea turns into something completely different.

This Spider-Man concept wasn’t the direction they ended up choosing, but I couldn’t let the idea go. I fell in love with it and decided to run with it for my own little Spider-Man fan. ❤️

I took the original idea and made it my own — free handing details, doodling the lettering, and adding old comic book clippings into each letter to create a one-of-a-kind banner.

The best part of creating is watching an idea grow into something even better than you imagined. 🕸️✨

The first Mural in the post there is a dog silhouette included- this the big brother to the new addition to the family 🥹. I took his photo and made my own inclusion as a surprise to the new parents**

In the wild flower room there was a similar photo given to the girls by their grandmother- it was located above the window- I spent weeks making a design- but once I saw that photo I was inspired by a few flowers while painting and added them into their wall- I added Charlie her own large butterfly which somehow fit perfectly in her new bed & her little sister her smaller butterfly each above their beds facing each-other fluttering. I wish I could get every individual flower- because every single one has such a beautiful personality. & the little girl who has this room has the most amazing bright brilliant personality I’ve ever met in a child. She kept coming in saying “Mrs Bush I’ll pick your colors for this morning!” & she truly made every flower that much better for it. She is so excited for her baby sisters arrival it is so beautiful. This is why I love this little side gig so much.

✨ One Year of Bush & Brush Designs! ✨

One year ago, I painted my very first banner.
It was a simple "Party in the USA" design that started as nothing more than a happy accident. Coincidentally, the last banner I painted before my one-year anniversary was that very same theme. Looking at them side by side, the growth over the past year is something I'm incredibly proud of. ❤️

In just one year, Bush & Brush Designs has grown beyond anything I ever imagined. From birthdays and graduations to storefronts, community events, fashion shows, holiday banners, and even designing a pieces for a prom, every project has challenged me and helped me grow as an artist.

The biggest surprise? 340+ followers. 🤯 I honestly can't believe there are that many of you here supporting this little dream of mine. Every like, comment, share, recommendation, and order has meant more than you'll ever know. Thank you for believing in me.

A little behind-the-scenes of my banner process ✨

Every piece starts with lining up letters, building layers, and creating the base. I’m not a huge fan of the projector light, so once I can freehand the details, that’s where I really enjoy the process.

This 4x6 banner was so fun because of all the layers — especially the bows and soda bottles. Once everything was placed, I got to play with shading and dimension, which is my favorite part. 🎀🥤

14 hours later… finished with grommets, ribbon, and all the little details that bring it to life.
