Brother Beans

Brother Beans Thank you to everyone who helped make Brother Bean's dream come true. Brother Bean’s house was the most magical place on earth. I know we can do this for him.

The front door was always open and friends and family were always welcome. I remember summer days down the shore swimming in the lagoon, early morning crabbing trips, and evening walks to the end of the street. There was never a dull moment at Brother Bean’s house even into the late hours of the night when we would gather around the table on the porch to play cards, tell stories, eat ice cream, an

d laugh until we cried. Everyone knew Brother Beans hosted the best parties. Everyone was welcome to stay and when the floor space was full you could sleep on the boat. The party never stopped and Brother Beans never complained because he was the happiest when he was surrounded by friends and family. Brother Beans family and friends are working hard to rebuild his house. We have a lot hard days ahead of us on this journey to rebuild. We have shed a lot of tears over things that were lost because of the storm and we have remind Brother Beans every day that he has a lot of people in his corner who are ready and willing to help. Sara and I started the journey to get Yankee Stadium to Yankee Stadium as a way to lift Brother Bean’s spirits and give him something great to look forward to. I can picture the smile on his face and the pride he will have when we are standing next to his stadium at Yankee stadium. We will make his dream come true. I posted these pictures today to remind everyone that all the hard work and tears will result in one hell of a welcome home party. We will come together this summer as a family to celebrate Brother Beans and the magic of the House Down the Shore

Hi Kelly, We were going through some old posts today and came across your note. Unfortunately, it was completely missed when you first sent it. We are very sorry it took us so long to respond. We are very happy to see that your grandfather made it to Yankee Stadium. I hope he's doing as well as possible given his situation. We'd like to send your grandfather one of our Babe Ruth Inspirations Tshirts: http://www.baberuthcentral.com/merchandise/ #!/~/category/id=3346109&offset=0&sort=normal. Would that be of interest to him? If so, please let us know a preferred quote, size and address where you'd like it sent. Best to your family, Your Friends at BRC.

We welcome questions, comments and stories about Babe and related topics. We also are happy to help with memorabilia and historical information. Contact Us

Wow, one year later. The house is complete and Brother Beans is home. We have a lot to be thankful for…
first we want to thank Uncle Bill, Aunt Eileen, Aunt Kathy and Uncle Pat. We can’t put into words how much we love you guys and how grateful we are that you guys did so much to rebuild the house down the shore.
To all our friends and family thank you for all of your time and hard work. We could not have done this without you. Thank you, for all the cleanup parties, the moving in parties, the shoulders to cry on, and for all the laughs we had along the way.

To Blayke, Thank you, for making Brother Bean’s dream comes true. Thank you, for teaching us (especially Connor and Abby) that dreams come true if you work hard and believe. Thank you, for bringing our family together for an adventure of a lifetime.
Most of all we are thankful that even when times were tough, we never lost the magic that is the house down the shore!
Love,
Kelly, Patrick, Billy, Zachary, Sara, Jeremy, Connor, Abby and Kaylee

It took three years, about 75,000 matchsticks and a lot of Elmer's Glue to build, but the 4-by-6 foot replica of the Yankee Stadium finally made its way to the real Yankee Stadium. It was displayed Tuesday, May 14, before the Seattle Mariners -Yankees game started.
