The launch of The Gigabit Center this weekend was a huge success! Thank you to our partner Andrew Freedman Home and DOITT - NYC Government Tech, NYC Mayor's Office, The Office of The Bronx Borough President, LinkNYC, The Bronx Community Foundation and Zenfi Networks. We are looking forward to bringing digital literacy programs to more of the BX.
The Bronx Gigabit Center, the latest addition to the LinkNYC public wifi initiative, is set to launch Saturday June 11, 2022 at the historical Andrew Freedman Home in Bronx, NY.
We are excited to be partnering on this with The Knowledge House Fellowship, Inc., Andrew Freedman Home, Hugh O'Kane Electric, Nyc Dept of Information Technology and Telecommunications, LinkNYC / CityBridge Foundation, Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson and The Bronx Community Foundation.
The launch is the latest for CityBridge and ZenFi Networks as we help bridge the digital divide in New York City by offering free public Wi-Fi access via the LinkNYC network, along with digital literacy training, free access to laptops and workstations, and other services.

We're excited about our first concert of the season: Concourse Counterpoint: Momenta Quartet and Friends. Made possible by Grants program, presented by New York Foundation for the Arts, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs , NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, and Queens Theatre.
Join us for this FREE concert on Saturday, 9/25 at 3pm at the Andrew Freedman Home (1125 Grand Concourse in the South Bronx); featuring music by Joseph Haydn, Carl Bettendorf, Carlos Salzedo, and our violist Stephanie Griffin's chamber arrangement of the “Liebestod” from Richard Wagner’s opera “Tristan und Isolde”. We'll be joined by guests Ariadne Greif, soprano; Karen Lindquist Speyer, harp; William Hakim, viola; and Carl Bettendorf, conductor.
Vaccination proof and masks will be required.
