Jax finally found victory lane on the dirt! Been a season and a half of knocking on the door and getting closer and closer, he finally kicked it down last night!

Jax:
Heat race: 3➡️2: Dad made a couple changes last second on track conditions and went a bit too far. Took a great save to hold onto 2nd.
Feature:
2➡️1!
Took the lead on the outside on the initial start and never looked back!!!

Hudson:
Heat races:
Hudson won both of his heat races!

Feature:
1➡️2.
Awesome battle with his buddy and some rookie contact made them both have to battle through the field twice. Hudson drove the best line and most consistent line of the season! Was a little big for red rookie, but perfect for the next step up!

We are off for a few weeks with baseball! But we will be back possibly for the National!

Quite the roller coaster of a day at our second regional at CCQMA!

Jr Honda heat race
3➡️8
First race out, track was a bit slimy and unfortunately Jax was the last spin before the heat timed out. This lined him up 2nd worst points out of the heat and starting 9th in the B main.

Jr Honda B main

Found some speed and Jax drove his butt off to transfer into the A!!

Red rookie heat
5➡️2!

Huddy drove well and aggressive in his first laps away from Terre haute!
This puts him starting 2nd in the fast feature tomorrow!

This last weekend was our first regional of the season at our home track, and what a weekend it was!

Jax started us off with a 4➡️3 run in the heat race. After getting stuck on the outside and falling to 6th he battled up to 3rd to land him front row of the B.

B main he ran a very smart race not forcing the issue and running a clean race staying in the transfer spot and moving into the A!

A main saw him start 9th, he battled up to 4th early, being aggressive and taking control of his race. After getting turned and a little contact from a passing car he found himself in the back about half way through the race. What we didn’t know at the time the bolt to his right front radius rod sheared off and the rod was just dangling the second half of the race. He battled a now tight car up to 4th and late race fun ended him in 6th! I think he passed the most cars in the feature and was flat getting after it! Didn’t have anything for the top 3, but still happy with where it ended!

Hudson,

Huddy started 5th in his heat and we were a bit worried as the day of play wore on him and he was dozing off in the staging lanes. But in true Hudson fashion he went out and made a last corner pass to win his heat.

Feature found him on the pole, and from the drop of the green he was locked and loaded. Lead every lap and came home a regional A feature winner!!! However, after his victory laps with the flag he still had to ask me who won the race!!! Hahaha

Hoping to make it back in time this weekend for qualifying night!!!!

“A” feature day!!!!!

After a long day waiting for the track to dry, and a hell if an effort by the track crew! We were able to get heats and lower features in yesterday.

Jax will be starting 9th after battling his way through the B main! Just making this A is a win in a stacked field of 19 cars!

Hudson starts on the pole in red rookie after going 5th to 1st in his heat!

Racing starts at 9! Come on out support the boys here in Terre Haute

The boys were rolling this weekend!!

Jax and Hudson went 3-3 in heat race wins to set up both boys starting outside front row for the features!

Hudson took off from the drop of the green leading every lap and taking home the checkered flag!

Jax got a great initial start jumping into the lead in turn 1 and ran an awesome race leading the first 20ish laps when he tangled with a lap car and was sent to the back. He battled back to 4th in the last few laps! Super happy with how he drove, just one of those racing deals!

Both boys are prepping for our first regional race of the year at our home track this coming weekend!

Little man did it again!

Hudson backed up his first race win by doubling down on a second! He’s starting to figure out his line, still needs more work, but he’s all gas and no fear. Scaring the hell out of dad! Hudson won both heats and his feature! Hunting a bit more speed. Going to make a couple changes and see where it leads at the hall of fame race this coming weekend!

Jax is still trying to get comfortable on the dirt. Haven’t quite got the nerves back after a rough start on the dirt. Going to keep trying to get him where he has the confidence to keep it to the floor!

Our new gear is live!!

Short Track Heroes knocked it out of the park with the design! The best part of the program is that not only do you get to rep the boys at the track, but you also get to help keep them on the track! Half of the proceeds from all gear purchased comes back to the team!

Race day recap!

Hudson makes his racing debut!!!
The moment he’s been waiting for since we brought home Jax’s first car finally came and he made the most of it! Leading every lap and taking home the win in both the heat and feature!

Jax wasn’t so lucky! Being the first race out of the new season on the new dirt didn’t play in our favor, he battled but ended up striking out landing him tail end Charley for the feature. Dad went a touch too far on the adjustments and tightened the speed out of the car. But he raced hard, we continue to see a different version of Jax on the track and are excited for what is coming if the car can catch up to our driver!

The coolest part of the day was both boys getting to carry the flag during opening ceremonies!

We are hoping baseball schedules work out in Bloomington to be able to at least make features this coming weekend for points race 1! Going to be a busy day!
