𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗜 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗟𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻.
34 years ago the drumming world lost one of the best to ever do it. Larrie Londin was a force of nature behind a drum kit, and he was one of my greatest influences growing up (If you couldn't tell by the Hawaiian shirt in my profile picture lol) . He could play just about every kind of music and play it like it was supposed to be played. If you think he was just a country drummer, think again. From Motown, to Elvis, to Reba to Journey and everything in between. Go and listen to Steve Perry's Street Talk album or Journey's Raised on Radio. Absolutely incredible. I had the absolute pleasure of knowing him and first met him when he was in Houston working on a project with Rosanne Cash and Rodney Crowell back in the 80's. He was a wonderful human being and always had time to answer questions from an aspiring young kid. He was an innovator and one of the first to play DDrums. He had some great stories too. Gone but never forgotten. Another drumming giant gone way too soon. I miss you Larrie, but I still listen to you almost everyday.

On this day in 1992, we lost one of the greatest drummers of all time and one of my biggest influences on me as a drummer. If you're a drummer, you know who Jeff Porcaro is. If you're not a drummer, and you don't know who Jeff Porcaro is, you actually know who he is and just don't know that you know who he is. Why? Because he is the one grooving on, and laying down the drums on, countless hits you more than likely grew up listening to, danced to, and shook your money maker to. Especially if you grew up on 70's and 80's music. To this day, when I'm listening to the radio or any music platform, there is not a day that goes by that I don't hear a song with Jeff Porcaro playing drums. THAT'S A LEGEND! RIP Jeff. You continue to be greatly missed.

Another GREAT day in the studio with the one and only Steve Palousek. This time we were in his facility AKA Money Pit Audio (Formerly known as Awesome Works Recording). What a great sounding room. I've included a little video tour and kit rundown for those interested. Also had a great time reminiscing about the "Good Ol' Days" and laughed way too hard at stories I had forgotten about. Good times for sure.
