I was deeply honored to capture the soul and spirit of Levi for a special memorial portrait. This precious dog truly embodied and lived for the thrill of the hunt with his owner, Colby Templeton. My goal was to help preserve that handsome boy’s memory forever 🐾 and the love he brought into this world. I hope this portrait serves as a comfort to his family as they remember his life. May he run free beyond the rainbow bridge, forever chasing those birds and dreams...

Little Sweet Pea, such a precious rescue pup with a bad ass collar. She's now in loving care of the most amazing rescuer and melts and heals hearts daily. This is what it's all about.

"Walking Each Other Home..a 4' x 6' mural painting much larger than just three dogs.

Three companions walk side by side, each carrying the others in ways that aren't always visible. Inspired by the thought as we grow older, we are all simply WALKING EACH OTHER HOME. This painting is a celebration of friendship, loyalty, love, and the quiet grace of sharing life's journey. Three souls, each at a different stage, traveling the same path.

Life isn't about racing ahead — it's about who walks beside us.

Inspired by my 3 freaking awesome dogs and SOOOOO many rescue and friendship stories. Greeting cards available soon -- just ask!

It started with a visit to Nashville, getting to see another former Cocker Rescue volunteer we worked with back in DFW (AND getting to see her 2 gorgeous current pups), to a simple request, to the most dogs I've painted together in one portrait. I hope I did them all justice given that I was working from old pics of dogs who have sadly all passed. It's always an honor to capture these beautiful souls who filled hearts beyond measure. Marta Mahaffey, thank you for being such an unstoppable force and always challenging me. You're one of those who defines greatness in rescue.
