Acoustic Nights at J.P. McGuire's Acoustic Nights is a local Downriver open mic night session at J.P. McGuire's Bar & Grille located at 21138 Goddard Road in Taylor, MI 48180.

Calling all people with a passion for music, J.P. McGuire's is bringing a new sound to open mic nights in the Downriver area beginning June 18th! From the guitar, to the drums, to the xylophone…if you play, we want to hear you! So come down to J.P. McGuire's where open mic night starts every Wednesday at 8:30 pm, and come early to get your spot on the sign up sheet and enjoy our awesome menu selec

tions and staff! Once a month we will have a theme night which highlights a designated genre or time in music, make sure to check with Justin or Matt about any questions/comments/concerns.

Good afternoon!!!! It’s been quite awhile, but I have some exciting news. Next Wednesday, May 12th, we will be having a very special open mic night at JP McGuire’s celebrating the life of Tim McMahon. It will be a night of laughs, stories, and wonderful music inspired by his life and what he meant to us. We will be starting at 7 pm and everyone is welcome to come out and play or just enjoy the night. Have a great day everyone!!!!!!

A quick update:

For the whole month of November and until further notice afterwards, there will be no open mic at J.P. McGuire's on Wednesdays from 8:30 to 11:30 pm starting today/tonight, November 6th. We appreciate the support we received since Ashley and I (Jon Howard) took over the reigns last year, around this time (November'ish). We are trying to work out a deal to make this shindig beneficial for open mic attendees, the other bar patrons, and JP's itself, so until that takes place, we'll be in "hibernation-mode" so to speak. Until then, keep rockin'!!! :)

What day is it? Tuesday? No. Thursday? No. Itttttttt's WEDNESDAY!!!

Open mic will commence tonight with Jon and Ashley kicking things off at 8:30pm and running it until 11:30. Attendees will get 3 songs or 15 minutes, whichever comes first.

For info on the WhiteClaw and Italian Night specials, please ask your bartender/waitress.

ALSO, don't forget to pick up your Queen of Diamonds progressive raffle ticket for only $1 per ticket. Current jackpot is over $1,000. Proceeds will go to the Taylor North Little League.

OPEN MIC IS BACK!!! From 830 to 12, Ashley and Jon host tonight's open mic at J.P. McGuire's in Taylor. Participants get 3 songs or 15 minutes, whichever comes first. Music and/or comedy is accepted. It's also Italian Night and Whiteclaw Wednesday. EAT EM UP, DRINK EM UP!!! SEE YA'LL THERE!!

P.S. we have an in-house cajon (percussion box that you sit on and beat the crap out of it) for patrons to use. Feel free to make beats!
