Prose of Pie

Prose of Pie Westchester's favorite storytelling series, combining compelling true stories and tempting pie! We sell out most months, so get your tickets early!

Pros(e) of Pie is the Hudson Valley’s favorite storytelling series and the only storytelling show in the nation where you enjoy the stories and rate the refreshments! Join us at each monthly installment to listen to storytellers and humor writers tell true personal tales to warm your soul while you fill your belly with homemade pies made by local “pie-trepreneurs.” In addition to long format prepa

red stories, we have open mic slots for audience members to try their hand. The entry fee includes pie tastings, beverages, great entertainment, and a free raffle ticket to win a pie to take home!

It's exciting enough having The Story Collider in our backyard for the first time, but even more special that it's a Spanish show featuring 2 of PoP's audience favorites Mark Pagán and Ro Moran!
Props to the Rockefeller Brothers Fund & Pocantico Center for their expanding community programming!

If you've been missing live storytelling, there are a some good streaming options for you. We'll be posting recommendations more regularly. Tonight's a particularly good one:

Our friends at The Story Collider are celebrating their 10th (!) Anniversary with a special 3 hour streaming show featuring some of their best storytellers from the past decade. Treat it as an open house and hop in whenever you can.
The show's free but consider a small donation to support this nonprofit's good work!

We loved the Pi(e) Day intro to this week's The Story Collider podcast, and that's even with their misguided Deputy Director Nisse Greenberg hating on Pi(e). Don't worry, we'll work on changing his mind.
In mean time, check out the great stories they feature this week!

High school math whiz Tori Ball has always hoped a boy would fall in love with her mind, but when it finally happens, she's not sure how she feels, and high achieving, but superstitious college student Maryam Zaringhalam’s entire system collapses when she misses a calculus test.

You guys... We had a fire code capacity crowd for a truly stellar line-up. Bryan Berlin, Vara Cooper, Vernon Payne, ChaChanna Simpson, and Shelley Gazes shared a wide & painful range of Love Hurts tales.
Props to the Hudson Valley Writers Center for being so lovely and accommodating.
