Evolve Dance has come a long way since our inception in 2006: creating a comprehensive dance-training program, traveling to Ghana for international interchange, implementing the provocative 2007 - 2012 Evolve Dance Festivals, working with community organizations in NYC and beyond, and so much more! In August 2013, we launched the "Evolve Dancing Communities" project with a pilot residency in Viet
nam. Vietnam 2013 brought Evolve Dance artists to Hanoi and Lao Cai for 10 days of dance and workshops with local artists, students, affiliated staff that work with abuse survivors and residents at the Compassion House. In 2014, we are following up with a more comprehensive and ambitious community project in Vietnam, combining dance programming with site specific vocational training workshops. We have also formed Evolve Dance West, the Tucson-based professional arts company of Evolve Dance. Evolve Dance West seeks to encourage collaborative and participatory dance in the Southwest communities!
