Allowing dogs to swim in your pool can cause extra wear and tear on your pool system. Changing the filter, chemical balancing and skimming are services that will have to occur more frequently.

SAFETY: Many dogs drown every year due to a phenomenon called “doggie death grip.” Teach your dog the only place to enter and exit the pool is the steps and take your dog into the pool several times a year and remind it of where the steps are located.

Shake Test the Pool Fence

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), drowning is the number one cause of accidental death for infants and young children between the ages of 1-4.

Shake Test - Periodically shake every part of your pool fence with both hands. You are checking to see that the fencing is still firm and there are no gaps.
