The words “Do A Kickflip!” just got taken to a whole new level when Tesla revealed their new flying car! But it didn’t just fly… it did an actual Kickflip over their entire line of cars. They even launched it off an insane custom ramp. To top it off Elon Musk gave Tony Hawk a proper shoutout saying he would be proud during the presentation. We would have to agree 😉.

Who would have thought we’d get flying cars 🚗🪽 doing kickflips before GTA 6?! 😂

“DO A KICKFLIP… with your TESLA!!”

Every single skateboarder who’s ever been in a contest has (at some point) dreamt 💭 of having that special “Contest Moment” in their lifetime. When the pressure is on, all eyes 👀 are on you and it comes down to your final run… or even the final trick - and you roll away victorious! The feeling of that moment ✨ was captured perfectly in the 2009 Skate Classic Film “Street Dreams” starring Paul Rodriguez, Rob Dyrdek, Ryan Sheckler, Terry Kennedy, Ryan Dunn (RIP 🙏) and more. When the main character Derek Cabrera (played by Paul Rodriguez ) lands his 360 flip crook - aka “The NAC” - on his final attempt, it represented every up and coming skater on the planet 🌎 who has dreamt being in that exact same situation. But what made it even more realistic was the fact that it went down at a real life contest inside legendary Skatepark of Tampa where the world’s top AM skaters actually compete every year. So with Skatepark of Tampa hosting its 32nd annual Am Contest this weekend, we figured this would be the perfect time to pull out some of our favorite contest scenes from this cult classic!

Whats your favorite scene from “Street Dreams”? 🤔

Year after year 📆 we get to see 👀 the best up and coming skaters in the industry put their skills on full display at the annual Tampa Am contest. This is the longest running Am contest that brings skaters from all over the world 🌎 under one roof to compete in front of the entire skate industry. And with the 32nd Annual Skatepark of Tampa event kicking off 🥾 this weekend - we wanted to take a look at a few of the winning runs from the last couple years.

Who do you think will take the win 🏆 this year??? 🤔

There’s a big difference between just being able to land a difficult trick and possessing the control, precision, and consistency to link 🔗 them together in a way that makes the entire sequence look stylish. Alec Majerus has had that kind of technical ability since day 1 which is what makes him so enjoyable to watch 👀. The sheer diversity of all the tricks he would string together - whether it was for one of his “BANGIN” edits, “Run & Gun” lines, or his legendary “Recruited” segment… they’re all just another reminder of how good this guy really is!

We ❤️ ya Alec Majerus !! 🫶🫶🫶

At just 12 years old - the style, trick selection and overall raw power💥 behind every clip that dropped in his first full street part “XII” is pure cinema 🎦. We’ve highlighted some pretty wild clips of before - most notably when he first showed up at the Berrics at 8 years old and blew everyone in the building away! But since then it’s been one insane trick after another that he’s dropped on social media. Now he has a full street part that’s he’s been working on for a while and it did NOT disappoint! Head over to YouTube channel right now (if you know what’s good for you 😉) and check out ‘s first full street part “XII”!!

When it comes to pushing the boundaries of skateboarding, few have done more than “The Chief” himself… Jamie Thomas !! From his groundbreaking video parts 📼 and legendary rail skating to his impact as the founder of Zero Skateboards, Jamie has built a legacy defined by commitment, progression, and an uncompromising approach to skateboarding all while helping shape an entire generation of skateboarders! We could go on and on but instead we wanna wish him a very special Belated Happy Birthday since yesterday was his official 52nd b-day! So as we go through some of our favorite clips of him over the years, be sure to wish him a HBD 🥳. Thanks for all you have done for skateboarding.

We ❤️ you Jamie!! 🫶🫶🫶

This might be the coolest way to announce 📣 and reveal the new board company that Daewon Song is now riding for. Daewon has always been known for his creative edits and fun manny tricks but this one had a special surprise at the end of it. As he skated a boxed 📦 up board, he slowly shedded cardboard until it was completely destroyed and the graphic clearly reads (drumroll please….. 🥁) Chocolate Skateboards 🍫 🛹 !!! We couldn’t imagine a more perfect match for Daewon Song and are so stoked to see his first of many graphics from this legendary company!

Congrats Daewon! We ❤️ you!! 🫶🫶🫶

Even with all the obstacles we had available to skate at the Berrics park… one of Eric Koston ‘s favorite things to rip was the red curb - because sometimes that’s all you need for a good sesh ✅. But he doesn’t just skate it. He puts on a “Slappy” clinic mirroring every trick - regular and switch. Even 堀米雄斗 gets in on the action. Not to mention Eric does all this in a mint pair of Nike Skateboarding Blazers that are currently available in the The Canteen 🛒 🛍️ 👟 so be sure to pick up a pair so you can rip just like Koston!

We’ve seen 👀 a lot of “Circus Tricks”🎪 similar to this before but this ⬆️ one from Rémy "diggity" DOG might be the first time we’ve seen someone do a clean backflip off a quarter pipe and land on the same board that they launched off with like it was part of their line. Whether it’s a “NBD” or not is up for debate but what’s not up for debate is how truly incredible this is. Before you could only see a trick like this when you button mash on THPS 🎮. But now this is a real trick that Rémy "diggity" DOG is pulling out at the skatepark and it looks wild 🤯…. So obviously we just had to feature him on today’s #❤️skateboarders solo highlight. Congrats on landing this Rémy "diggity" DOG …. We gotta see you do it with a Kickflip next time 😉!! 🫶🫶🫶
