KLACA is excited to announce that student registration is now OPEN for our 2026–2027 class session! 🎉

We’ve recently upgraded our website with a new, user-friendly registration system and have added new programming this year, Bokator! 🥋🇰🇭

We encourage families to attend orientation if you’re able to make it! It’s a great opportunity to learn more about the programs, ask questions, and get ready for the new school year.

We’re spotlighting Teck Savvy, founded by Sally Phnouk — a Seattle-based creative practice bringing together music, technology, and community. 🎶✨

Since launching in 2024, Teck Savvy has grown beyond DJing to create full event experiences through:

🎮 Karaoke & game tournaments
✨ Event planning & design

But Teck Savvy’s impact goes beyond events. Sally has been a core member of the team organizing Cambodian Heritage Night, helping coordinate entertainment, vendors, production, and the many moving pieces behind this community celebration. 🇰🇭⚾️

ORGANIZATION SPOTLIGHT: SAVE KHMER AT UW

Preserving our language. Protecting our connection to our roots. Building a future for the next generation.

This week, we’re spotlighting Save Khmer at UW, a grassroots, community-run campaign working to preserve the Khmer Language Program at the University of Washington through advocacy and fundraising.

For many Khmer-American families, language is more than communication — it’s a connection to our parents, grandparents, history, culture, and identity. 🇰🇭❤️

Save Khmer at UW is working to demonstrate the community’s demand for continued access to Khmer language education and help ensure that future generations can learn and connect with their heritage.

🎯 Campaign Goal: $100,000

Join us this Thursday for a full day of Cambodian culture, music, dance, community and baseball in Seattle:

• 12:30 PM — Lunch in the CID & community rally at Hing Hay Park
• 1:30 PM — Parade through CID to Victory Hall
• 2–5 PM — Pre-game celebration at Victory Hall features live music, DJs, hip hop, Khmer dance, performances, Bokator, vendors + more
• 6:00 PM — Mariners vs. Angels at T-Mobile Park
• 9:30 PM–2 AM — Afterparty at Trinity Night Club
