Live from the studio: working on some half-lidded cups today. I am interested in moving toward more hand-building this year so this customer request for a thrown and modified form was well-timed. Each of these pieces were assembled differently … fingers crossed that at least one makes it through the first firing without cracks!🤞🏼

Delayed gratification post for an afternoon spent with courtesy of

One of the only legacies of the covid era that’s worth celebrating is access to online learning. I’ve been a working potter for 20+ years and have never given myself the time or space to travel for workshops. Maybe someday I will, but for now, I’m delighted to have them come to me. I’ve got mugs that need handles! 😊

PS: it feels a little selfish and crazy to post anything positive at all right now. But I do believe, maybe I need to believe, that there is resistance in feeling and spreading joy, in learning, in making art, in thriving.
