I wanted to share with you my story. My story how I got started making Handmade Greeting Cards.
It was Christmas of 2010 and I got Cricut Machine for a gift. When I first started making the cards they definitely looked like a scrapbook type of card. But as time passed I got good. They became a beautiful piece of art. In March of 2011 I visited a small floral shop and asked the owner if I could sell them in her shop. She agreed to let me sell them on consignment. After that I had my cards in 16 small mom and pop shops selling my cards. From Seattle to Portland to Wenatchee. I would visit the shops every couple weeks and replenish the stock. I had a ton of cards. Each shop I had a card rack and I they were filled up every time. I made a decent amount of money ๐ฐ. In October of 2012 I went through a divorce and I had to stop selling them. But I never stopped making them. Back in February of this year I was let go of my job that I was with for over three years. So here I am working hard to get my greeting card business up and running, so that I can still help support my family financially along with My loving new husband. I do plan on going back out door knocking and selling my cards in small mom and pop shops. Along with friends and family spreading the word. I am hoping to start selling them in farmers markets. I made my first sale last week and Iโm eager to work hard to sell more.
