🎭 A 2027 Mustard Seed Theater Update 🎭
After much prayer, many staff discussions, and careful consideration, we've made the difficult decision not to produce a full musical during the summer of 2027.
This decision wasn't made lightly. Like many organizations, we've recognized the importance of taking a season to rest, rebuild, and prepare for the future. Our Savior Lutheran Church is an incredibly active place year-round, and this break will give us the opportunity to strengthen our volunteer teams, continue building our organization, and begin the search for our next show director as we look ahead to 2028.
We know this news may be disappointing to many of you, but please know that Mustard Seed Theater isn't going anywhere! We fully intend to return with another classic musical in June 2028, and we can't wait to share what's next.
So...what are we doing in 2027?
We're excited about the possibility of hosting a one-night Mustard Seed Variety Show on Friday, June 18, 2027!
The idea is to invite former cast members, crew, orchestra musicians, directors, leadership team members, and volunteers back to the stage as well as new friends with an amazing talent they want to share for an evening celebrating the community you all have created and the joy of live entertainment together.
Imagine a night filled with:
🎵 Vocal performances
🎸 Instrumental music
🎭 Comedy sketches and monologues
🎩 Magic acts
😂 Audience participation and improv games..and whatever other amazing talents our Mustard Seed family has to share!
We're still putting the pieces together, but we think it could be a fun, relaxed evening celebrating the people who have made Mustard Seed Theater so special.
