Meet the Choreographer!
What a wonderful week with choreographer Arthur Sicilia during his residency with CNY Ballet!

Our dancers have spent the week immersed in “Today I Am a Songbird”, exploring the story, movement, and unique style of this beautiful new work. Sharing a glimpse of the process at Friday’s Open Rehearsal was a special moment for our dancers and our community.

We’re thrilled to welcome Syracuse native Arthur Sicilia to Central New York Ballet for a week-long choreographic residency.

A graduate of The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, with additional studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and the Royal Academy of Dance, Arthur is entering his sixth season as a soloist with TanzLinz at Landestheater Linz in Austria. In addition to performing works by internationally acclaimed choreographers, he has created original works for TanzLinz and has choreographed for companies and projects throughout Austria, Germany, and the United States. Arthur also serves on the faculty of Anton Bruckner Private University, where he teaches contemporary dance, repertory, and creative process.

Throughout the week, Arthur will be creating an original new work with our company dancers that will premiere in February at Central New York Ballet’s performances of Love Stories.
