There’s something extra special about photographing a wedding that came through a past couple. Knowing they trusted us enough to recommend us means so much, and we’re truly grateful.
Iris did her own hair and makeup that morning. She told me she only really feels comfortable doing it herself, because she knows exactly what she likes. That felt very much like her. She was bright, playful, and completely at ease in front of the camera.
Arthur was quieter and more reserved. Steady, thoughtful, and very grounded. Whenever he looked at Iris, it was easy to see how much he loved her.
Iris found her family in a way that was a little different. The warmth around her that day, and the open, joyful way she moved through the wedding, said more than any explanation could.
Gatsby on the Ocean was such a beautiful setting for them. Historic, elegant, and right beside the Atlantic, with the beach and open sky just outside. Near sunset, we slipped away for a few quick portraits. The light only stayed for a short time, but it was warm and beautiful, falling across the two of them as they stood together. I still remember exactly how that moment felt.
