🎨 My first storefront commission.

Every project starts long before the first brushstroke.

It starts with an idea, a sketch, a roll of butcher paper, and a little bit of faith.

Walking into FitCo Fitness, I knew this project would challenge me in all the best ways. From tracing the design to painting every outline by hand, I watched these blank windows slowly become something special.

Before there were murals…

Before storefront windows…

Before “The Painted Season” ever existed…

there was this house.

My grandmother’s home was where generations of our family gathered, celebrated holidays, laughed, and made memories together. Years later, I painted it as a Christmas gift for my sister, never imagining it would become the beginning of something much bigger.

Watching my family reconnect with those memories through a painting changed the way I looked at art forever.

I realized art could preserve more than a place—it could preserve a feeling.

That moment became Season 001.

Every piece I create will become part of The Painted Season archive, preserving not only the artwork, but the story behind it.

Hi, I’m Samantha — the artist behind the brush. 🎨

For years, I thought I was just painting things.

A football.
A window.
A wall.
A picture of a place someone loved.

But somewhere along the way I realized…it was never really about the paint.

It was about the story.

The team someone poured their heart into.
The business someone dreamed of opening.
The home where memories were made.
The moments people wanted to hold onto.

That’s where The Painted Season began.

Because every season of life tells a story — the exciting seasons, the growing seasons, the changing seasons, and the ones we never want to forget.

My hope is to create artwork that doesn’t just decorate a space, but captures a piece of someone’s story.
