Sanskriti

Sanskriti Sanskriti is a cultural organization at UCONN that strives to spread awareness and recognition of in In essence, the purpose of Sanskriti is to promote culture.

Sanskriti, means 'culture' in Sanskrit, an ancient language of India. Sanskriti was founded by a group of students at UCONN who learned various indian art forms such as classical dance, and music but had no place to express these art forms. Sanskriti focuses on providing a stage and venue for these art forms to be performed, as well as spreading awareness on campus. UCONN accepts thousands of tale

nted students every year, and Sanskriti wants to give students who know these classical Indian art forms a chance to connect with others and showcase them. By forming this organization and coming together, students can combine their talents to keep these wonderful Indian art forms alive and thriving on stage, as well as spread awareness about them to other students at UCONN. Although it appears that you have to know one of these classical art forms to join, that's not true! Sanskriti strongly encourages anyone who is interested in learning to join, regardless of background! All are welcome! If you would like further information about performances, concerts, workshops, etc, please email [email protected]
