Last Friday was our first performance of our program"Glass" and one of the first time where Concinnity consisted of current members, some past Concinnity members, and new voices to the group. In addition to having such a warm and appreciative audience, it was a privilege to make music with such generous musicians, crafting a beautiful sound in collaboration with one another.

Our program "Glass" this past weekend was indeed a favorite among the singers and audiences for the variety of music. We truly enjoyed sharing these songs, new and familiar, with our community where Consonare Choral Community , is based. We hope to share more of this music with our online community as well.

This concert marked the end of our season -- many thanks to everyone for a great 2025-26 concert season. We cannot wait to share what is coming next!

GLASS is a concert experience visual elements amidst gorgeous choral music that explores ways glass shapes how we see our world.
At times, glass is shattered or acts as a barrier to the outside, but it also transforms what we see through magnification and color. Lest we forget the glass half-full as a reminder of our perseverance. featuring gorgeous choral music composed by Cecilia McDowall, Kassia, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Morten Lauridsen, Margaret Bonds, Orlando di Lasso, Katerina Gimon, and more, including the U.S. premiere of a new work by Kerensa Briggs.
Tickets are $20 / Students free. Join us for this concert on Saturday, June 6 at 4pm in von der Mehden Recital Hall at UCONN Storrs where admission is $20/students are free (no one is turned away for lack of funds).

Rehearsing for our performances this weekend of "Glass". It is shaping up to be an incredible program as we explore the ways glass shapes how we see the world, both literally and figuratively. We are singing a stunning new setting of a Robert Frost poem, "Tree at my Window" by Kerensa Briggs, a haunting chant by Kassia, a beautiful setting by Margaret Bonds, the iconic Rachmaninoff "Bogoroditse Devo", and much more. Tuckets available for Saturday at 4pm at von der Mehden in Storrs.

Our previous concert featured Bach cantatas while our last concert of the season this weekend will feature music from the Renaissance to the contemporary, including "Kaleidoscope Heart" by Sara Bareilles, featuring our countertebor, Alex O'Neil (who also can sing a stellar Bach aria).
