Each design is firsthand drawn by Ceramic Artist Charlene Randolph. The original artwork is converted to a digital file, then sent away to be produced as a reusable texture mat.
We have designs in larger formats as well as border styles.
Mix designs for a "quilted" look or repeat designs to fill up your space. You can even use them to print on surfaces or make your own underglaze transfer sheets.

Some Summer Fun in the Clay Studio! (ALL MATS ARE 15% OFF!)
I made these salt and pepper shakers out of soft slab, rolled to 1/4" for good impressions.
Each slab is compressed with a flexible rib to remove canvas texture, sprinkled with cornstarch and then rolled into the clay with a pony roller.
Then I bevel the edges, score and slip. I form it into a cylinder using a rolling pin then I remove the rolling pin and join the two ends together. Once they are smoothed, I add the bottom, cut the hole for the plug, then form the top by placing a circle slab onto the top rim, and gently press into the slab using a little water, until I get the right curve of the dome. Let it stiffen and flip right side up. Poke the holes before attaching so you can smooth both sides. Then score, slip and attach the top to the body. Trim any edges to make the rim even. When dry, bake at 1945 degrees F, (lol), for several hours, when cool, glaze in your favorite colors! Bake again at 2230 degrees F.
