Hail and well met, all!
We have made a decision to postpone our treasure hunt until next weekend due to the storm coming in this weekend. We didn’t want you, our patrons, to risk getting caught in the gales or possibly catch the plague from being soaked. Thank you all for the enthusiasm for the hunt and a bigger thank you for all the support!
We will resume the hunt next weekend. Stay weather aware and above all, stay safe!

🪎🪎The 5th & 6th Chests are Hidden!🪎🪎

Apologies on the delay however we had to be extra sneaky while hiding these next two chests. You bunch are good hunters!

Here’s the riddle for the 5th chest:
Seek me at the new home of the faire. I am of something hard not naturally made. I am your companion when you get weary though I can't protect you from the elements. Several can gather round. But the rest will have to stand. My treasure is hidden beneath me guarded by needles.

Here’s the riddle for 6th chest:
Seek me as well in the new home of the faire.
I am near a well and a pond. I am large but my usefulness is no more. I am old and a monument to what I once was. I don't shelter but I stand like a silent guardian.

As a reminder: if you find the chest, please send a selfie with the chest or the scroll visible!
Happy hunting and good luck !

✨📯ADVENTURERS, HEED THE CALL!📯✨

Adventurers Wanted!
Introducing a One Shot Dungeons and Dragons campaign held at the upcoming Drake Lake Renaissance Faire!

If you've ever wanted to try Dungeons and Dragons, but never had the opportunity, or aren't sure where to start, this may be a good starting point!
Or, perhaps, you're the "Forever DM" of your own adventuring party, and would just like the chance to sit back and play on the other side of the DM Screen for a change, this might be the one shot for you!

Seating is limited, so if this is something you'd like to try, be sure to reserve your space through the link below!

"Paysker looks like a normal, small fishing village: a smattering of houses, a smokehouse, and a tavern for traveling merchants. But there’s more to this place than meets the eye.
You're accompanying a merchant caravan bound for Paysker, known for its smoked fish. It’s small and isolated. Aside from the towering cliffs and curious basket-boats, it looks fairly typical of a fishing village. But when one of the merchants goes missing, it's up to you to find him... and uncover the secret of this seemingly normal place."

Secret of Paysker is a short, fully-contained Level 1 Dungeons and Dragons adventure. You’ll get to the end, but which end will you discover? Different sessions will have different answers.

Total of eight sessions available, limit 7 players per table.

Characters and dice provided, beginners encouraged to join!

$12 includes keepsake character sheet.
Art and adventure by Amanda the DM at Handwritten Homebrew.

Be sure to reserve your space ahead of time at: https://andybrokaw.com/adventures-at-drake-lake/

📯Congratulations📯 to Josh Simmons and Cassandra Walker for their successful hunts!
The 3rd chest was hidden in Fort Payne City Park in a tree behind the Alabama statues. The 4th chest was hidden behind a copy of the Canterbury Tales by Chaucer at the Rainsville Public Library.

Good luck and happy hunting!

The third chest is under the watchful eyes of gargantuan cat and guarded by 4 gilded bards.

The fourth chest is resting in a house of literature in a town named for the rain reading a well known manuscript most people have taken a “chaunce” to read.

Please remember to post a selfie to this post or email it to the address provided in the chest.

Happy hunting and good luck!
