Specialty work! This guy is the first buck shot on the owners property.
We paired that up with a few sentimental items and ended to with a keepsake to last a lifetime .

PSA - first & last time I literally remove a deer tongue by hand.
Soon I plan to welcome some teeny tiny creatures to assist me with the dirty work. 😉

• STRENGTH + COURAGE •

This big guy was whole.
After taking a big fall onto concrete, what I thought would be a 100% casualty...wasn't .
I am shocked. His whole face is still intact.

Surely I didn't think I'd still have an undisturbed masterpiece.
Along with all the tiny beads that I hand-placed. Mighty little suckers to withstand a fall like they did.

In FACT, I'm proud of this piece. He now has twice the character he used to have.

The Patina style is a natural oxidation process, exactly what the Statue of Liberty has done over time. This is a bison skull mimicking that process.

True beauty. This one means so much to me because this is raw turquoise from Kingman Arizona. I cleaned this raw steer skull, and I personally love the ability to appreciate both of these ordinary items together, creating something remarkable. The creativity I spilled into this in addition to my customer's vision for it turned into a classic, one of a kind. The bison is a symbol of courage, strength & balance. I chose to make a mosaic of 2 interlocking chain links to represent strength though the raw skull says enough on it's own.
I needed to also represent the spiritual meaning of strength and how it is deigned to grow in us.

The yellow/gold layer represents the faith we have, which only happens to be the size of a mustard seed.

The blue layer represents the plentiful rain, and the holiness needed to water, and nourish our faith.

The orange is the sunlight which covers and guides us, fuels us to abundantly develop our strength and whether through storms, also makes us aware that the strength in us encourages strength in others.
