It was a special night at The Grand Ole Opry this past Wednesday night, my friends! I was honored to be asked by my friend Charley Crockett to join him on The Opry Stage to honor our Texas Music!

I have a deep respect for Charley as a man and as an artist. He comes from down deep in the Rio Grande Valley where he fell in love with REAL Country music, Blues, and Tex Mex to form his own unique blend of Texas music that I can only describe as Charley Crockett.

Y’all give Charley a listen. I love what he does and what he stands for.

Charlie is the Real Deal and a fine man!

My deep thanks to The Opry for having me be a part of the Greatest Show on Earth one more time!

~Lee Roy

I had a big time sitting in recently with Ray Benson and Asleep At The Wheel during their performance at the beautiful Harken Hall in Madison, Tennessee! We let loose on “Texas,” the Charlie Daniels tune that I recorded with Charlie & Asleep at The Wheel. My 'ol buddy Gary Nicholson and Bruce Bouton were part of the festivities as well. Great people, top-notch music, fun hang... ~Lee Roy

I had a much needed knee replacement surgery recently. The surgery went well, and the outlook is great. I've been religious about my physical therapy both pre- and post-surgery. We had originally thought that I would be able to perform and travel, but the healing is taking a little more time than we expected. As a result, I will unfortunately not be able to perform at AmericanaFest in Nashville on Sept. 15 or at C10s In The Park in Waxahachie, Texas on Sept. 19 (Jolie Holliday and Sonny Burgess, along with Maddox Ross, will perform in Waxahachie in my place). My sincere apologies to my friends at AmericanaFest and in Waxahachie (my new knee and I will be looking forward to seeing you next year!) and I'm excited to get back to work out on the road this November! ~Lee Roy

This week in 1995, "When A Woman Loves A Man" was released by Lee Roy Parnell as the second single from his blockbuster album, WE ALL GET LUCKY SOMETIMES. His special guest on the song was none other than the great Trisha Yearwood, who provided powerful harmony vocals on the timeless track. The song spent 20 weeks on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, peaking at #12 in 1996. -Team LRP

Every night that I have the honor of standing in that historic circle of wood at the Grand Ole Opry to share my music is a true blessing. I’m forever grateful for that opportunity! As always, thanks to the wonderful Opry audience for the kind response. A big thanks to Dan, Gina, Kerry & the Opry band and the amazing Opry team for having me out so much this year! I’ve loved it!

A special thanks goes out the legendary Charlie McCoy for joining me on stage once again for a harmonica/slide guitar duel! You were the icing on the cake, buddy!

To all of you reading this: thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support!

I feel y’all, I’ll guarantee!
