The ABCs of The Goo Goo Dolls! I know they are more well-known for their ballads (Name, Iris) but most of my favorites of theirs are their more rock songs, especially Long Way Down! Also much thanks to my buddy Daveed with a reminder on one of their songs I had completely forgotten about, Lazy Eye, so you get an extra song on this playlist. :)

Shenmue I + II Remastered

We already have a confirmed Shenmue III Enhanced Edition coming to Nintendo Switch 2, would be great to see the originals as well. They were last put out on Xbox One and PS4 in 2018 in a collection, prior to that were only the original releases of Shenmue in 2000 on Sega Dreamcast and Shenmue II in 2002 on the original Xbox in North America.

Since both the Xbox consoles and PS5 are backwards compatible with the previous generation games, it would be nice to see Shenmue I and II on its first Nintendo platform as well. It only makes sense since they are releasing Shenmue III....

Unfortunately a sequel being released on a platform where the series has never been doesn't guarantee a release of earlier entries, even for a first party game series (looking at you, Metroid Prime series...). Still there have been others that have, look at Resident Evil 9 on Switch 2, and we then received at the same time both RE7 and RE8. You can also look at the Persona series and even Kingdom Hearts.

It also just so happens that today's ABCs list ties in with this game list, the ABCs of music from the Shenmue video game series!

Brother Cane had one of the first real rock songs that I felt like I had discovered myself on the Qwk Rock radio station in 1995, taped "And Fools Shine On" off the radio and then "Run Like Hell" by Pink Floyd from their live performance on the P.U.L.S.E. which had also recently released and I was kind of hooked on Qwk Rock!

I never really heard much more on the radio from Brother Cane other than "I Lie In The Bed I Make" in 1998. Looking on Spotify now, the track "Got No Shame" is their number one which was released in 1993, before I started listening to rock really.

Games I want on Nintendo Switch!
List 4 – Sonic Adventure Origins Collection

Huge love for the 3D Sonic games, would be great to see a compilation of the early ones. There were individual releases of Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 way back on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It would be great to see them return to Nintendo platforms since their original re-release from the Dreamcast on the Gamecube. Here’s what I have as a dream compilation:

Sonic Adventure (both original and DX versions)
Sonic Adventure 2 (both original and Battle versions)
Sonic Heroes
Shadow The Hedgehog

Much like the Sonic Origins Collection, I think a version that preserves the original experience and then one that fixes glitches and can be considered as the “new” version of the game would be fantastic way to handle these. Options for graphical effects would be great as well.
