This is a study that I just started. I spent two days in Sedona and this is what I came home inspired to paint! All the beautiful pictures of the gorgeous red rocks that I took in Sedona and this is what I’m inspired to paint?!? Does anyone else find that odd? They’re actually is a story to it but you have to wait until I post the finish painting. :) i’m excited to bring this Diamond back to life on canvas!

I am proud and honored that my painting was accepted and published in the Willow Creek Journal from Creede, Colorado. The best part is that my Son's poem was published on the same page. Only fitting because his rock stack was the inspiration for the painting!

Once again my favorite model did not disappoint-and my legs don't look to shabby either!😁 "Kick'in Back", a 24 x 36 Oil on gallery wrapped canvas is finished and waiting for varnish. Currently not for sale but prints are always available.

I am excited that my "Ralph's Cafe" painting has been accepted to the 3rd annual Arizona Day curated selections from the "Paint Arizona Day" (April 4th).

Paint Arizona Day is a unique celebration of art and nature, held annually in Arizona. Artists embrace the beauty of the state by painting outdoors (plein air) for three hours on the morning of April 4th. Participants choose to paint independently in their backyards or join official painting locations guided by master artists.

The designated locations showcase the diverse landscapes of Arizona, from the majestic mountains to the vibrant deserts. Artists participate in a culminating juried gallery show here in the Four Corners Gallery where their work is exhibited, celebrated and offered for sale.

Spent the morning painting outside at the Neon Sign Park in Casa Grande for Paint Arizona Day. I used Acrylic paint which was quite challenging as it was a bit warm and the paint was drying so quickly. Oils might have been a better option. Love painting outside!
