Saturday is “get painty” day!

Want to be a part of the St. Louis Mural Project? Artist Ben Hanvy (working in Ward 4) invites you to a painting event this weekend! On Saturday, July 27 from 9am – 12pm, stop by the retaining wall near the intersection of Southwest Ave and McCausland Ave (just around the corner from the Circle K at 2707 McCausland Ave).

The artist will have temporary fencing installed between the sidewalk and street. All you have to do is show up ready to be a part of this historic project!

Park on the street just west of the mural site (past the elevated train tracks on Southwest Ave) or on Ellendale Ave (located in the neighborhood just above the retaining wall).

I’m so grateful to have been awarded this grant! Drive by the corner of Southwest Ave and McCausland to watch the progress. I really hope it brings some color and joy to your world. Join me on July 27th to pick up a brush and help out. I will have it laid out like paint by numbers so it’s perfect for all ages.
