It looks like we probably will not be getting a Lil Durk verdict tonight.

During the first day of deliberations Wednesday, jurors sent a note to the judge asking to receive the trial evidence in digital format.

According to courtroom reporting from Michael Blackshire, Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald asked the attorneys about the request and was told the earliest the court could guarantee the material would be available is 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

So unless something changes, verdict watch is carrying over into another day.

The jury began deliberating Wednesday after weeks of testimony and Tuesday’s closing arguments in Durk’s federal murder-for-hire trial.

Durk, Deandre “OTF DeDe” Wilson and David “Browneyez” Lindsey have pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from the 2022 Los Angeles shooting that prosecutors say was intended to kill Quando Rondo.

Rondo survived, but his cousin Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson was killed.

Jurors were shown a large amount of evidence during the trial, including communications, travel records, financial information, surveillance material and other digital exhibits.

The jury’s request does NOT tell us whether they are leaning guilty or not guilty.

It simply means they want access to the evidence while they continue discussing the case.

That could mean jurors are comparing exhibits, checking timelines, reviewing communications or trying to resolve questions among themselves before reaching a unanimous decision.

Durk’s defense has also filed a separate request involving portions of his DJ Akademiks interview, arguing prosecutors presented selected excerpts without enough context.

For now, there is still no timetable for a verdict.

The jury gets the requested digital evidence Thursday morning, and deliberations continue from there.

Durk and his co-defendants remain presumed innocent.

Another familiar Snowfall face is officially returning.

Quincy Chad is back as Big Deon in The Drop: A Snowfall Saga, with his return lining up with Episode 2, “Street Matrix,” airing September 15.

The episode synopsis says Wanda’s music dreams are threatened by street violence while Leon is “forced to settle a street conflict.”

And if you remember Leon and Deon’s history, that line immediately gets interesting.

Big Deon was Fatback’s cousin and became a major figure in the PJ Watts Cr*ps after Leon stepped away from the Projects.

Deon never forgot what happened to Fatback and blamed Leon for how things had fallen apart in the neighborhood.

By the final season of Snowfall, Leon and Deon were battling over control and the direction of the Projects, eventually leading to them physically fighting each other.

But their story didn’t end with beef.

At Jerome’s funeral, Deon approached Leon and asked if he helped kill the people responsible for Jerome’s death.

Leon said yes.

Deon showed him respect, effectively ending the hostility between them.

Now years later, a quick shot from The Drop trailer shows Leon and Deon shaking hands again.

Leon is trying to leave the street life behind completely in the spinoff, running a free legal clinic and searching for redemption.

So the real question is what Deon looks like in this new era.

Is he still running the streets? Has he changed too? And what exactly is the conflict that forces Leon back into that world?

We’ll find out when “Street Matrix” premieres September 15 on FX.

Ned Luke is getting ready to officially say goodbye to the GTA V era.

The actor behind Michael De Santa says he plans to complete one final playthrough of Grand Theft Auto V before GTA VI arrives later this year.

He is calling it “The Final Mission.”

Luke says the playthrough will feature a rotating lineup of special guests, including streamers, athletes, celebrities and other people connected to the GTA community.

And he already confirmed two names fans are going to want to see.

“I’m going to get Solo on, I’m going to get Steven Ogg,” Luke said during his stream. “Yeah, that’s right! Steven is going to come on and make an appearance.”

“Solo” is Shawn Fonteno, who played Franklin Clinton, while Steven Ogg famously portrayed Trevor Philips.

That means we should get Michael, Franklin and Trevor back together one more time before Rockstar officially moves into the Jason and Lucia era.

Ogg’s appearance is especially interesting because he has generally kept more distance from the GTA world than Luke and Fonteno over the years, although the three have reunited at conventions and other events.

Luke has remained heavily involved with the community, regularly streaming GTA Online and talking with fans, while Fonteno has also continued embracing his connection to Franklin.

No exact date has been announced for the final playthrough yet, but Luke said it is coming soon.

Grand Theft Auto VI officially launches November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

13 years later, this really might be the last big goodbye to Michael, Franklin and Trevor before GTA enters a whole new era. 🎮

If you watched The Drop: A Snowfall Saga and wondered why a Kendrick Lamar song from 2012 showed up in a series set in the 1990s, Malcolm Spellman says it was completely intentional.

During the official The Drop: A Snowfall Saga After Show, the series creator and showrunner explained that music is being used to capture the emotion of a scene, even if that occasionally means breaking away from strict period accuracy.

One of the biggest examples is Lamar Kinsey, played by Asante Blackk, and Kendrick Lamar’s “m.A.A.d city.”

“For me, the whole scene with Lamar when he’s dealing with that s**t cannot exist without that song,” Spellman said. “If Top & them wouldn’t have cleared it, that scene would not have been in the show.”

Spellman says the connection goes deeper than simply liking the record.

Although Kendrick is describing much rougher circumstances in the song, Spellman believes there is something about Kendrick’s emotional perspective that also exists within Lamar.

“The soul of Kendrick is in Lamar in how he feels about that,” Spellman explained.

“To me, the way that song ‘m.A.A.d city’ feels for a regular person is that scene.”

That tells us something important about how The Drop plans to use its soundtrack.

The show is rooted in the rise of West Coast hip-hop during the 1990s, but Spellman isn’t limiting himself to records that literally existed during that era. If a newer song communicates exactly what a character is experiencing, it can become part of the storytelling.

Spellman has also said that scenes throughout the series were actually written around music, rather than songs simply being added after everything was filmed.

So yeah, hearing Kendrick in a ’90s-set Snowfall spinoff might throw you off at first.

But there’s a reason for it.

Jim Geoghan, one of the creators behind Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, has passed away at the age of 79.

His daughter Genevieve Geoghan confirmed to Variety that he died September 6 in Los Angeles. A cause of death was not disclosed in the initial report.

Geoghan co-created The Suite Life of Zack & Cody with Danny Kallis and helped build the Disney Channel series starring Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Brenda Song, Ashley Tisdale, Phill Lewis and Kim Rhodes. The show ran from 2005 to 2008 before expanding into The Suite Life on Deck, which Geoghan also co-created and executive produced.

His work on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody earned him two Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Children’s Program in 2007 and 2008.

Geoghan’s résumé stretched well beyond Disney Channel. Over the course of his television career, he worked on shows including Silver Spoons, The Facts of Life, Mama’s Family, Amen and Family Matters.

He was also an accomplished playwright. His Off-Broadway comedy Only Kidding ran for 500 performances and earned two Drama Desk Award nominations.

For millions who grew up watching Zack, Cody, London, Maddie and Mr. Moseby at the Tipton Hotel, Geoghan helped create one of Disney Channel’s defining sitcoms of the 2000s.

Rest in peace Jim Geoghan. 🕊️

The wait is over. We are officially back in the world of Snowfall. 🔥

The Drop: A Snowfall Saga premiered tonight on FX and is now available to stream on Hulu and through Hulu on Disney+ for eligible bundle subscribers.

Gail Bean and Isaiah John return as Wanda Bell and Leon Simmons, but this time the story moves into 1990s Los Angeles as the city enters another major cultural shift.

Wanda is newly sober and determined to make something of herself through music, believing the rise of West Coast rap could change lives. Her journey pulls her into the emerging music business, where she begins working with former D-boy turned record label owner Darryl “DG” Grant, played by Brandon Mychal Smith.

Leon is trying to leave the streets behind completely and find redemption through his free legal clinic, putting him and Wanda on increasingly different paths.

The new generation includes Asante Blackk as Lamar Kinsey, Peyton Alex Smith as James Kinsey and Buddy as Artillery, with the series exploring the collision between hip-hop, street politics, ambition and survival.

Malcolm Spellman executive produces the series alongside Snowfall veterans Dave Andron, Thomas Schlamme and Paul Garnes, with FX Productions behind the show.

New episodes will arrive weekly through October 27.

Six years after Snowfall first introduced us to Wanda and Leon, their story continues tonight.

Lil Durk and his two co-defendants are officially waiting on a verdict after closing arguments wrapped in their federal murder-for-hire trial.

On Tuesday, prosecutors told jurors that the case was simple, arguing that Durk “used his money, power, and fame to try and kill his biggest opp.”

The government alleges Durk helped finance and orchestrate the 2022 attempt to kill Quando Rondo in Los Angeles following King Von’s death. Rondo survived the shooting, but his cousin Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson was killed.

Durk has pleaded not guilty.

His defense team used closing arguments to go directly after the credibility of the government’s cooperating witnesses.

Brian Steel told jurors that Kacey “OTF Jam” Hester, Kavon “OTF Vonnie” Grant and Keith “Flacka” Jones were “snitches, corroborators and rats.”

Steel also called Hester a “serial killer” and argued that the jury should not trust the word of men who pleaded guilty and are cooperating with prosecutors in hopes of receiving better outcomes in their own cases.

The defense has maintained throughout the trial that Kavon Grant was the actual mastermind behind the alleged retaliation plot and had his own reason to seek revenge after King Von’s death.

Steel also reminded jurors that Durk is presumed innocent unless the government proves every element of the case beyond a reasonable doubt.

“His suit of armor is the fact that Mr. Banks is presumed innocent,” Steel told the jury.

Drew Findling later closed by saying he was “happy to be the voice for The Voice,” while accusing cooperating witnesses of manipulating investigators.

Durk, Deandre “OTF DeDe” Wilson and David “Browneyez” Lindsey all declined to testify during the trial.

The jury is now deliberating.

If convicted on the most serious counts, the defendants could face life in federal prison.

Nitro Camden is adding another challenge to his growing list of IRL stream moments.

The St. Louis creator attempted to learn how to backflip during his latest China-themed Twitch stream, repeatedly working on the rotation and landing while viewers watched the process live.

The broadcast was part of Camden’s ongoing “LA Era,” with his stream titled “TURNING CHINESE FOR 24 HOURS.” Despite some posts referring to it as a stream “in China,” available stream records show it was part of his Los Angeles run.

Camden has been experimenting with more challenge-based content lately. Recent broadcasts have included learning how to box, mall streams, creator collaborations and a blindfolded Geometry Dash challenge.

His audience has also exploded over the past month. Twitch tracking data shows Camden gained nearly 250,000 followers between August 9 and September 8, with his streams reaching a peak above 20,000 viewers during that stretch.

The 18-year-old St. Louis streamer has been building serious momentum since going viral in August and linking up with creators including IShowSpeed.

Now we just need to see if he actually lands that backflip clean 😂

Pharrell Williams is putting together another serious production run.

Quavo’s upcoming album QRÖMELIFE is executive produced by Pharrell, while John Legend’s newly announced Muse was produced in full and co-written by him. The 16-track Legend album arrives October 23 and grew out of their work together following Legend’s appearance on Clipse’s Let God Sort Em Out.

Pusha T also recently confirmed that he has more music coming with Pharrell. Push says one project is already finished and another is currently in the works, with reports pointing to a new solo album and another Clipse project.

When The Breakfast Club asked if Pharrell was handling the music, Push made it simple: “Only [Pharrell].”

The run comes while Pharrell and his longtime Neptunes partner Chad Hugo remain involved in an unresolved legal dispute. Hugo filed a federal lawsuit earlier this year alleging unpaid earnings, problems accessing financial records and other issues involving their shared businesses. The two had already been battling over ownership and trademarks connected to The Neptunes name.

And man, it still sucks seeing them apart because The Neptunes were quietly starting another run in the early 2020s.

Pharrell and Chad reunited behind records including SZA’s “Hit Different,” Summer Walker’s “Dat Right There,” Brent Faiyaz and Drake’s “Wasting Time,” Moneybagg Yo’s “Certified Neptunes” and music from Megan Thee Stallion’s Suga era.

They proved that sound could still work with a completely different generation of artists.

Hopefully the business gets worked out one day because getting Pharrell and Chad back in the studio together would be something special.

Tyler Herro and longtime girlfriend Katya Elise Henry have reportedly called it quits and are now battling in court over custody and support for their two children.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Herro initially filed a case asking the court to establish a parenting schedule and determine child support. He said he had already been voluntarily supporting Henry financially since she gave birth, but he dismissed his case just days later.

Henry then filed her own petition seeking primary custody. She claims she has been the children’s primary caregiver and has made most of the major decisions involving them.

She also wants their children to continue having a relationship with Herro, but asked the court to establish safeguards and restrictions around his parenting time.

In the filing, Henry referenced Herro’s “historical conduct,” saying she intentionally chose not to disclose the details “out of respect for him.” She argued that safeguards and parameters should be implemented to protect the children’s safety and well-being.

Henry did not specify what conduct she was referring to, and there has been no court finding of wrongdoing against Herro connected to that statement.

Henry is also seeking financial support, citing the income difference between herself and Herro, who now plays for the Milwaukee Bucks.

The former couple share daughter Zya, born in 2021, and son Harlem, born in 2023. They had been together publicly since 2020 and were still seen together at NBA Summer League in July.

The custody case remains ongoing.
