The Power Universe isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

Starz has officially ordered Power: Legacy to series, bringing together two fan-favorite characters from the franchise.

Joseph Sikora will return as Tommy Egan while Michael Rainey Jr. reprises his role as Tariq St. Patrick.

The new series will continue the present-day storyline following the events of Power Book IV: Force and Power Book II: Ghost, creating one of the most anticipated team-ups in Power history.

Gary Lennon, who helped lead Power Book IV: Force, will serve as showrunner and executive producer alongside 50 Cent.

For years, Tommy and Tariq have shared one of the most complicated relationships in the Power Universe. From Tommy’s loyalty to Ghost to Tariq’s rise in the criminal world, their stories have remained connected even when they were operating in different cities.

Now they’ll finally be at the center of the same series.

With Power: Origins also on the way, Starz is making it clear that the Power Universe remains one of its biggest priorities.

Will Tommy and Tariq be able to work together, or is trouble inevitable?

Federal authorities are searching for Arthur Cofield, an escaped inmate accused of orchestrating an $11 million fraud scheme from behind bars.

According to investigators, Cofield used a contraband cellphone while incarcerated to gain access to a victim’s Charles Schwab investment account and wire millions of dollars into a scheme involving gold purchases and luxury real estate.

Authorities allege the stolen funds were used to purchase more than 6,000 American Gold Eagle coins and help facilitate the purchase of a multimillion-dollar Atlanta mansion.

Now, after escaping from a federal prison camp in Jesup, Georgia, the FBI has announced a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to his capture and conviction.

Federal officials say Cofield should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the FBI or U.S. Marshals Service.

A South Carolina jury has found convenience store owner Chikei Rick Chow not guilty of murder in the 2023 shooting death of 14 year old Cyrus Carmack-Belton.

According to prosecutors, Carmack-Belton was wrongly suspected of stealing bottled water from a convenience store in Columbia, South Carolina. Investigators said the teen did not steal anything, and prosecutors argued he was chased more than 130 yards before being shot in the back while running away.

The defense argued that Chow acted to protect his son after believing the teen posed a threat. Testimony throughout the trial presented conflicting accounts about whether Carmack-Belton pointed a firearm during the encounter.

Following several hours of deliberation, jurors returned a not guilty verdict on June 1, 2026.

The decision led to emotional reactions inside the courtroom, with family members of Carmack-Belton reportedly breaking down in tears after the verdict was announced. The family’s legal team has already stated that a civil lawsuit is expected to follow.

The case has remained one of the most closely watched legal cases in South Carolina over the past three years and continues to generate intense discussion about race, self defense laws, gun violence and the criminal justice system.

Philadelphia soul legend Dexter Wansel, the iconic producer, songwriter and composer behind classics including Teddy Pendergrass’ “Love T.K.O.” and The Jones Girls’ “Nights Over Egypt,” has passed away at the age of 75.

The heartbreaking news was confirmed by his son, Grammy-nominated producer Pop Wansel, who shared an emotional tribute online describing his father as “The space man” and revealing that he had battled health issues for 17 years.

During his legendary career with Philadelphia International Records, Dexter Wansel became one of the defining architects of the Philadelphia soul sound. His futuristic production style, lush arrangements and innovative use of synthesizers helped shape soul, R&B, jazz-funk and eventually hip-hop sampling culture for decades.

Beyond producing timeless records for Teddy Pendergrass, Patti LaBelle, Lou Rawls, The Jacksons and Phyllis Hyman, Wansel also created one of the most sampled compositions in music history with “Theme From The Planets,” which later appeared in records from artists including Eric B. & Rakim, Ice-T and J. The next chapter of the Snowfall universe is officially on the way.

FX has announced that the long-awaited Snowfall spinoff starring Gail Bean and Isaiah John will be titled The Drop: A Snowfall Saga.

Set shortly after the events of the original series, the new show shifts its focus from the crack epidemic that defined Snowfall to the rise of West Coast hip hop during the 1990s. According to the official synopsis, Wanda and Leon will attempt to help bring West Coast rap music into the mainstream while navigating gang conflicts, street politics and record labels looking to capitalize on a growing cultural movement.

The series will feature a cast that includes Asante Blackk, Peyton Alex Smith, Simmie “Buddy” Sims III, Mykelti Williamson, Nicki Micheaux, Brandon Mychal Smith, Eric Balfour, Demetrius Grosse and Snowfall veteran Quincy Chad.

Snowfall became one of FX’s most acclaimed dramas during its six-season run and developed a passionate fanbase that has remained eager for a continuation of the story since the show’s conclusion in 2023.

Now, with Wanda and Leon taking center stage, The Drop: A Snowfall Saga is preparing to tell a new story rooted in music, culture, ambition and survival during a pivotal era in Los Angeles history.

The series premieres later this year on FX and Hulu and will stream internationally on Disney+.
