Formed in 2013, Paperkite (named after a species of butterfly) showcases the talents of the couple Josef Kanak, born Sep 14 1992, and Jessica Wright, born Sep 23 1994. r St. Louis region, releasing their debut album, a live recording titled “Idea Lueconoe” (2014). The following year the band went on to Record their second self-recorded album “Poor People Music”, and they are currently working on their third studio album; set to be released in mid 2017. Drawing heavily from early Darkwave, New Wave, Horror-synth and Post-Punk influences, Paperkite features a unique blend of Synth, driving Bass, melodic, and haunting female vocals, giving the band it's strong, unique, and ethereal presence.
