This was my fifth year working with Dignity Period as a fund-raising pro, and their "Paint it Pink" Gala last month was record-breaking—raising over $115,000 to fight period poverty in Ethiopia, St. Louis, and Seattle.

What a fun gig!

Keith Nelson and I were brought in for a taping of Hell's Kitchen with Gordon Ramsay a while back. Our episode aired last night!

Plate spinning, apparently, is the perfect analogy for working in a team in the kitchen. (Who are we to argue?!)

One of the small joys of working on ships is getting alerted to reviews from passengers. Here's a gem from working on the Holland America Line Zaandam this summer!

>>It was 9:00 p.m., and hordes of people were entering the theater to see Thom Wall and his risky juggling stunts, (this is personally my favorite show of all time, and I never liked juggling and circus tricks until then, so I highly recommend it). First, he started with some simple tricks, like juggling 2 balls, but then he got serious. Seriously dangerous. He did insane tricks like balancing swords on knives and putting a knife in his mouth. Next, after balancing a glass cup, he popped a balloon under it and somehow caught the cup on his knife. He also juggled knives. Not just 2 knives, 3 knives, or even 4; he juggled FIVE knives!!! That’s when we got all excited, waiting for what insane trick would come next. Unfortunately, that insane trick would be the closing of the curtains, and we all sadly left the theater. However, we were lucky because we would a great next day ahead of us …… after we slept and woke up.

Such a joy to see the St Louis festival happening again! Thanks to the team for bringing me and Benjamin out to host the show.
