This piece honors Maha Gowri, the eighth Navadurga. As symbolized by her white garments, lending her the name of “Shwetambaradhara”, she represents purity, serenity, and true grace. Her wisdom is said to guide devotees through great difficulties.

This piece honors the seventh Navadurga, Kaalaraatri Devi. Her fearsome and awe-inspiring nature is said to banish all evil and negative energies. As such, this piece refers to her as “Kaalaraatri Bhayankari”; or, Kaalaraatri, the fear-inspiring.
