Springville Community Theater
Presents

"Circus Magic"
August 1 and 2 -- 2:00 pm
Springville Middle School

The Springville Community Theater is celebrating its 50th birthday with a re-creation of the original children’s musical they performed on the same stage 50 years ago. The group’s first show was a lively children’s fantasy titled “Circus Magic” that includes a talking lion, three magic circus people, and an evil Magician whose tricks always backfire.

As a thank you for the amazing support over all of these years, the shows will be free. Everyone is invited to the birthday party following the Sunday performance! Doors will open at 1:30. No tickets, no reservations — all seating is general admission, except little kids get to sit down front!

AUDITIONS ARE TOMORROW!

To celebrate their anniversary, the Springville Community Theater will be going back in time and recreating the first show they did 50 years ago. The show that launched the group in 1976 was an original children’s musical fantasy called CIRCUS MAGIC with lots of roles for both adults and children.

Auditions are at the Springville Middle School tomorrow, Saturday, May 16 at 2:00 pm. If you can’t make it tomorrow, there is still another audition opportunity on Monday, May 18 at 6:00 pm. At auditions you’ll be asked to fill out a schedule of your prior commitments, so please have those nailed down before you arrive.
Brush up those circus tricks! We’re looking for clowns, acrobats, a strong man, a talking lion, and 2 ends of a fake horse (pick your end!). If you know any, send them our way! We welcome anyone ages 5 to 105 – no experience necessary.

The show will be performed free for the community on July 31, August 1 and August 2. Everyone is invited to the celebration! For more information, contact June Mack (Director) at (205) 552-3023.

AUDITIONS!!

To celebrate our anniversary, the Springville Community Theater will be going back in time and recreating the first show we did 50 years ago! The show that launched the group in 1976 was an original children's musical fantasy called CIRCUS MAGIC -- with lots of roles for both adults and children.
Auditions will be at the Springville Middle School on Saturday, May 16 at 2:00 PM. Rehearsals will run all of June and July.
For auditions, no preparation is necessary. We welcome people who have no experience on the stage ages 5 to 100+. Please bring your calendar to auditions. You will be asked to fill out a schedule of your prior commitments. Good to know in advance: a parent or guardian must accompany all actors 12 and under to all rehearsals during the months of June and July.
So brush up those tricks! We're looking for clowns, acrobats, unicyclists, jugglers, strong men (for real), a fat lady (also for real), bears, lions, elephants (not so real, but good fakes!), and someone who'd be willing to be either end of a horse!
The show will be performed free for the community on July 31, August 1 and August 2. Everyone is invited to celebrate with us! It's party time! For more information, contact June Mack at (205) 552-3023.
