Hi friends ⭐️ here! I know I’ve been very quiet this year, that’s cuz your girl got a promotion. So I just want to Shoutout Clarke for stepping up and handling a lot of what I do (that means he’s had twice the workload). And y’all has he built a show for you. I can’t wait to see you all. 10 days and counting. A few friendly reminders for the first timers:
We do not have actual food vendors at the Lost40, please keep this in mind when thinking about your family. Don’t forget to pack your bliss ware (plates, bowls, cups, silverware, etc…)
The community kitchen is the heart of the festival. When we all contribute a little we can do a whole lot. We do Dinner circle on Friday and Saturday night. (It’s usually Spaghetti on Friday) And Breakfast Circle on Sunday morning. The point of the kitchen is so none of us have to spend $15 on a burrito. Have a little extra cash? A garden? Consider donating so when someone is hungry they can grab a bite. Please consider stopping by to help with a meal. Cooking not your thing? That’s ok we will need meal prep help and clean up as well. The key word is COMMUNITY!! We are working out specific items for the kitchen wish list and we will send out messages as wanted items pop up. Fresh produce that doesn’t need refrigerated is always nice.
This is a true pack it in pack it out event. The goal is to leave no waste and no trace. Please take out what you bring in.
There is no electricity. We do allow generators as long as they are not overly loud.
Please keep in mind this is not a giant corporate event. No one who works all year to make this happen walks away with a single dime (honestly we usually walk away a bit poorer than we started). Ticket sales pay for venues, permits, insurance, Sound equipment rentals, porta potties etc if there anything left it goes to The artists but they are not making $1,000s of dollars to play for you. Consider tipping them. Gas money is always a blessing..
This is just people who are tired of corporate money, who see a vision of a better way. When we say community we don’t mean for the weekend. We want to connect with you. We want you to connect with each other. We want lifetime year long friendships to be born.
