Indi is a Black‑Bissa‑Latine artivist born in Springfield, Missouri and based in San Diego, California. Indi is the founder and owner of Indigo Childes LLC, a multidisciplinary creative arts network rooted in community, culture, and transformation. With more than a decade of professional experience in local, regional, and national nonprofit organizations, Indi has dedicated over ten years to supporting children, families, and collective well‑being. Artivism sits at the core of Indi’s practice, guided by the belief that “art is action” — a force capable of transforming individuals, communities, and systems.

For more than a decade, Indi has developed and refined SOULSCAPING, a distinctive art form described as the “landscaping of the soul.” Using the letters found in names of people, places, and things, each SOULSCAPE transforms language into abstracted designs and energetic signatures. These visual mappings invite viewers into unexplored thoughts, feelings, and experiences, revealing shapes, faces, animals, plants, and otherworldly imagery depending on one’s perspective. A SOULSCAPE can center an individual, a relationship, a group, an event, or an organization — offering the artist space for processing and giving recipients, observers, and participants a mirror for reflection.
