ACTING AESOPS: THE DANCING DONKEYS
Due to budget cuts, a school combines all arts clubs and tells them they must work together to put on a show that fills the auditorium, or their clubs will get cut all together. The Theatre & the Dance clubs each had grand plans for their shows, and do NOT want to compromise. After much confrontation and false starts, they realize that Aesops Fables will be the perfect theme and maybe, just maybe, they will learn a lesson.
THE QUEST FOR CONNECTIVITY
The Goblins and Demons have been at war for an eternity. When a questing young Goblin seeks out the wise Sage for guidance to bring peace, he is sent on a journey that seems to bring only more conflict and confusion. Is connectivity possible? What magical power could make that possible? Can you plug in peace?
GHOST 101
A popular girl looks down on most of the other kids in her class, until one day she realizes she can see ghosts, who seem to have the main purpose of annoying her. The ghosts are from all different time periods, so she realizes history research is needed. With her popular friends now avoiding her, she turns to the history “nerds” and learns that ghosts most likely have unfinished business. Together, they all work to discover and solve the ghosts’ needs, and she learns that friends come in all forms.
JOIN THE CLUB
A young girl is so relentlessly bullied by a girl in a competition dance group that she quits dance, the one activity that she loved and had been her dream. She gives up what she loves, and thinks that it is all over, but years later, she encounters the same girl at middle school, and it all comes rushing back.
YEARBOOK
As eighth grade comes to a close, students must submit their memory page for the yearbook, which forces students to face the changes that are approaching. For some, it is a welcome release, for others, anxiety-provoking. In a small school, it’s hard to break free of how you’ve been defined, but it’s time to change.
THE EVOLUTION OF DARWIN'S ANNOYANCES OR EVOLUTION OR ESCAPISM
Darwin narrates his theories of evolution, and how his school illustrates all the principles of evolution, and the need for escapism & retreating into one’s own private reality, as the realities of other subjects are so. . . irritating. Behold.
