What will I learn?
Regardless of if you are a Lead or a Follow, you will learn the foundations of Modern Bachata. Basic footwork steps, partner positions, turns, essential cues, musicality, and some of the most common movements in bachata.
Do I need a partner to join?
You don't need a partner to join the class. You will rotate during the class switching partners, so you learn how to dance with different Leads and Follows. However, if you sign up as a couple and only want to dance with your partner, you can also do that! Whatever you feel comfortable with.
Will you be able to focus on me?
We are intentionally limiting our class to a maximum of 20 students so that we can prioritize each student. Our goal is to ensure everyone in the class gets enough attention and properly learns the basics of bachata. The objective is that by the end of the 6 week course, you feel you have enough tools to lead or follow a bachata song as a beginner and build that confidence to continue growing from there. We will also do our best to ensure the class is balanced (similar number of follows and leads) so that nobody is standing out for multiple turns. Our focus will be quality, not quantity.
What is the cost?
The cost of the 6 week series is $80, which is $13 per class. You can send payment in advance via Venmo to NWA Bachata Beats to secure your spot. If you want to try the first class before committing, the cost is $20, but if you decide to join the Series, you can just pay the difference ($60) at the end of the first class.
