www.leftbraincreative.art I’m Jane Beisell, a Pacific Northwest native with a deep connection to nature that shapes my creative journey. Plants, especially the intricate details of miniature flowers, inspire me to explore the balance between fragility and resilience in the natural world. I create m

ixed media works that combine watercolor, acrylics, and inks with pressed flowers and foliage. This unique fusion allows me to craft textured pieces that celebrate the ephemeral beauty of nature. My artistic journey began with calligraphy brush painting, evolving into a distinctive style blending traditional methods with preserved flora, inspired by the wild landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. In 2024, my piece The Tamaracks Quail was selected for exhibition at the Chewelah Winterfest for the Arts—an exciting milestone in my artistic growth. For me, creating art is a joyful, cathartic process, and I hope my work brings the same joy to others, offering a glimpse into the delicate beauty of our world.
