I was REALLY happy with this tiny painting…
which apparently was my cue to keep touching it. 😂
I started with a soft radial gradient, letting the center almost disappear into the vintage color of the paper, then moving from bright yellow into deeper and deeper greens. 🌿
Once it dried, I added the vines and played with darker values to make some leaves feel like they were sitting in front of others.
And then I looked at it and thought:
“You know what this needs? A little magic.” ✨
So out came the white gouache.
Tiny dots. Little stars.
And now… I’m still deciding. 😂
Part of me loves the magical feeling they added.
The other part of me wonders if I should’ve just PUT THE BRUSH DOWN.
But that’s part of experimenting, isn’t it?
So I need your vote:
✨ TEAM STARS or 🌿 TEAM NO STARS?
Tell me below because I genuinely want to know. 😂👇
And if you want to watch me paint the whole thing from that first yellow wash to my questionable little stars 😂, comment MAGIC and I’ll send you the full painting video. ✨
