Hi, I’m Saylen, the face behind Build-A-Buddy Workshop. 🩵🧸
First and foremost, I’m a Florida local and a mom!
Before I was a business owner, I was simply a parent trying to create magical memories for my own child. Like so many moms, I know what it’s like to spend weeks planning a birthday party, juggling schedules, coordinating vendors, and hoping everything comes together perfectly.
The inspiration for Build-A-Buddy came from watching my plushie-loving little one and my nieces light up every time they hugged a stuffed animal. I realized there was something so special about creating a toy that wasn’t just another gift it became a best friend, a comfort item, and a memory they could have forever.
I wanted to create more than just another birthday activity. I wanted to create an experience.
An experience where every child feels celebrated.
Where parents can actually enjoy watching their child’s smile instead of worrying about entertaining everyone.
Where laughter fills the room, memories are made, and every guest leaves with something meaningful they created themselves.
As a fellow parent, I know your to-do list never ends. Between school, work, sports, appointments, grocery shopping, and everyday life, planning a birthday can quickly become overwhelming.
