Join us Saturday, December 10 from 6-10pm at the Ferris High School Commons for the Swing Dance and Auction! Did you know that over 26% of all Ferris Students are in the Band program? Music is science, math, foreign language, history, and P.E. all wrapped into one subject…and when performed with excellence (for which the Ferris band is known), it can produce a beautiful and emotional art form. At
Ferris, music is taught so that the students will recognize their humanity in a way that leads them to have more love, more compassion, and more gentleness and to give more good to this world! The Fundraiser is vital to the success of our program! In the current educational climate, less and less public money goes toward music programs. We need a way to keep the funds flowing so that the music can keep playing. Volunteers welcome! The annual Swing Dance & Auction is put on by a group of parent volunteers along with the Ferris music students. The parents put in many volunteer hours because they highly value the music program. For some kids, the music program is what inspires them to get up each morning and go to high school. These parents cannot accomplish much on their own. The success of the annual Swing Dance & Auction is dependent upon support from our community. We are so thankful to all those individuals and businesses who help the Ferris high school band students continue to make beautiful music.
