To my wonderful Quilted Bison customers,
I wanted to give everyone a quick update on what has been happening over the last couple of days.
What started as a small brush fire near my home quickly escalated into a major wildfire event yesterday afternoon. Within a very short period of time, evacuation orders were issued, and my area unexpectedly moved into an immediate evacuation zone. I had only minutes to gather a few essentials, my beloved pets, and family photos before leaving my home.
Thankfully, I am safe, and so are Moose and Winston.
I am happy to report that all customer quilts currently in my possession are safe at this time. I did not forget to grab anyone’s quilt. While I am temporarily displaced and monitoring the situation closely, I wanted to let everyone know that I have not forgotten about your projects.
Depending on how long the evacuation orders remain in place, there may be some delays in turnaround times. I have communicated directly with any customers whose quilts could be affected. I appreciate your patience and understanding while I navigate this unexpected situation.
This experience has been a reminder of how quickly life can change and how important community truly is. I am incredibly grateful for the firefighters and emergency personnel working tirelessly to protect homes and lives, and my heart goes out to the families who have already suffered losses.
Most of all, thank you for your support, messages, prayers, and kind words. The quilting community has always been special, but over the last few days, you have reminded me just how amazing it truly is.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
❤️ Vikkie
