ARTIST TALK TONIGHT! This is the last day to experience Elisha Harteis’s joyful and sublime exhibit “Cry Baby”. It’s been an absolute pleasure to host this installation, but all good things must come to an end. We open at 11:00, and then Elisha comes back to Spokane to send off this very memorable show with an Artist Talk at 6! If you haven’t seen this show yet, this is your last shot, and if you haven’t seen already seen it, this is a great opportunity to hear Elisha discuss the work and her artistic inspirations and processes! D2 Gallery, 310 W First Ave, downtown Spokane

It’s Friday! Or Friyay!, as some people like to say. Either way, that means that there are only TWO days left to catch”Cry Baby”, the outstanding sculptural installation by Missoula artist Elisha Harteis. We are open 11 to 6 today and tomorrow, but we are extending our time on Saturday because Elisha is coming back to Spokane to give an artist talk right here in this very gallery at 6:00, as a fun way to wrap up the show! And then it all gets packed up and taken back to Missoula. Don’t miss out! D2 Gallery, 310 W. First Ave., downtown Spokaloo

In two days, on Saturday, April 25th, at 6:00, Elisha Harteis will be back in Spokane to give an Artist Talk about her superb exhibit “Cry Baby”. This will mark the end of the show as well!! Have you seen it? We are open 11 to 6 tomorrow and Saturday, or just come to the artist talk to get the skinny on the work and ask Elisha some questions and catch it before it’s gone! This Saturday, April 25th, at 6:00, Elisha Harteis will be back in town to wrap up her exhibit “Cry Baby” with an Artist Talk, which, if things go well, may be the new thing we do at the end of exhibits. Or it could be the only one ever, you never know! So it behooves a person to come to this one, just in case. And, to sweeten the pot, Elisha is going to do a slide show as part of it. A SLIDE SHOW! I don’t even know what she will be showing as part of her slide show - maybe pics from a recent trip to the Grand Canyon, or the Galapagos Islands, who knows? Probably not that, but it will definitely be great, and we’ll give you wine (if you’re of age and want some, of course). Come see this fantastic show! Come hear Elisha talk about it! D2 Gallery, 310 W First Ave., downtown Spokane. Open 11 to 5:30 Wednesday and Thursday, 11 to 6 Friday and Saturday

I don’t always post images of the Artist Statements for the exhibits at D2, but the statement that Elisha Harteis wrote for her exhibit “Cry Baby” does so much to set the stage for the show. Elisha brings an installation artist’s eye to her exhibits, seeking to create a world for her creations to inhabit, and for viewers of her work to experience both visually and emotionally. A successful art installation should feel like an experience, should create a sensory response, and I feel Elisha is gifted in her sense for that. We are open until 6 today, and then normal hours next week, plus we are hosting an Artist Talk with Elisha next Saturday, the 25th, at 6:00. D2, 310 W First Ave, Spokane

We’re open! What a beautiful day in the Lilac City! Get out and enjoy the sunshine, and while you’re doing that, head on downtown and pop in real quick to take in “Cry Baby”, the marvelous exhibit by Elisha Harteis. We’re open until 6 today, and then head into the last week of the show next week - open 11 to 5:30 Wednesday and Thursday, 11 to 6 Friday and Saturday, and then wrapping up the exhibit with our first ever Last Saturday Artist Talk next Saturday the 25th at 6, where you can hear Elisha discuss her work and answer any and all questions! Detail shot of Mischievous Delight, from below. This is a fun piece, with rabbits hanging out in a galaxy of bubbles, but it’s also just a beautiful work of art. Hanging in our front window, it’s a wondrous way to introduce Elisha Harteis’s exhibit “Cry Baby” to the outside world, beckoning people to come in and take in Elisha’s inventive and thoughtful installation. We’re open today and tomorrow from 11 to 6, and then our normal hours next week (11-5:30 W-T, 11-6 F-S), and then we send this marvelous show off with our first ever Last Saturday Artist Talk at 6 on Saturday the 25th! RABBITS! We have a full fluffle of these guys, in varying shades, patterns and finishes, all assembled and ready to take on the world. Or, at least, gather in a mostly delightful but also vaguely menacing way here in the gallery. And each one can be adopted by you! They also can hang on a wall, if you don’t want them just standing around in your home. We opened a little early today (as in right now), and will be here until 6 for all of your rabbit needs. We’re also open tomorrow from 11 to 6, if you would rather. “Cry Baby”, Elisha Harteis’s playful and thought provoking exhibit, comes to a close at the end of next week, so don’t wait to long- adopt a bunny today! D2 Gallery, 310 W First Ave., Spokane

“Bubble Blower”. This is an older piece, and assembles on the wall, easy peasy. It’s a fun piece that can fit anywhere, and it also gives a sort of “bubble” context to the larger pieces “Mischievous Delight” and “Bubblescape”, which hang up in the front window of the gallery (minus the playful bunnies). “Cry Baby”, the brilliant exhibit by Elisha Harteis, of which all of these bubbles are a part of, is only up for two more weeks! We are open until 5:30 today, and then 11 to 6 Friday and Saturday. It’s kinda hard to photograph these pieces, and also kinda hard to describe, so just come in to experience Elisha’s dreamscape installation before it’s gone! D2, 310 W First, downtown Spokane

Two weeks left!! We are open our normal hours this week (11 to 5:30 today & tomorrow, 11 to 6 Friday & Saturday), so there’s plenty of time left to get down to D2 and catch Elisha Harteis’s outstanding exhibit “Cry Baby”. Also, we are going to have our first ever Final Saturday Artist Talk on Saturday, April 25th, at 6:00 pm, and this will be the actual very last chance to experience the show, plus meet Elisha and hear her discuss her work and process. Come see the show! Come hear the talk! Buy some rabbits! D2 Gallery, 310 W First Ave., Spokane, WA 99201

“I Am a Fu***ng Delight”. I hesitated to use the full title for this piece, but decided an asterisk wouldn’t fully convey the impact this piece has! This is a pretty big piece, but not really, because all of those flowers can be positioned however fits your needs. This is also one of the newer pieces in the show, and I’ve become very fond of it, even if she keeps flipping me off! Come see for yourself! We’re open from 11 to 6 today, and normal hours next week (11 to 5:30 W-T, 11 to 6 F-S). D2, 310 W First Ave, downtown Spokaloo
